Dental imaging is critical when it comes to your pet’s dental care! At Montana Pet Dentistry & Oral Surgery, we utilize cone beam CT (CBCT) imaging to help us appropriately treat your kiddos in their time of need. CBCT scans give us an in-depth view of the entire oral cavity, allowing us to see beyond what is visible on an awake exam. Here are just a few scans that show exactly what CBCT is all about!

Next up at MPD, Dr. Kipp Wingo! Dr. Wingo is a fifth generation Texan and third generation Fighting Texas Aggie (graduate of Texas A&M University). He grew up in East Texas where he worked many long hours in the family farming and ranching enterprises.

Dr. Wingo graduated with honors from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Prior to becoming a specialist, he owned and operated mixed animal practices in East Texas.

Born with a burning desire to become among the elite in his field, Dr. Wingo completed veterinary dentistry and oral surgical residency-training program and achieved the highly coveted designation of board-certified veterinary dentist® and oral surgeon in 2017.

I learned the basics of good veterinary dentistry in my many years in general practice. After implementing my knowledge, I found the quality of life of most of my patients was dramatically and rapidly improved. That exceedingly positive experience was so gratifying it fueled my desire to learn more. I now have the best job in the world… I make pets better. I also enjoy teaching my colleagues good principles of veterinary dentistry and to see them experience the same positive feedback that I received. That is very gratifying to me.- Dr. Kipp Wingo

Dr. Wingo has published multiple articles in the field of veterinary dentistry. As a highly sought-after lecturer, he has shared his expertise through teaching and lecturing extensively, both across the United States and around the world, in countries like Russia, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Poland, and France.

While practicing in Texas, Dr. Wingo was past member of the board of directors of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA). He was past President of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, the continuing education arm of the TVMA. Dr. Wingo now leads the specialist lectures for continuing education for the Phoenix Valley.

Dr. Wingo was recently featured in Voyage Phoenix Magazine, sharing his journey to becoming a board-certified veterinary dentist® and oral surgeon, the passion that drives his work, and his dedication to teaching the next generation of veterinarians.
