At this point, I think I have more pictures and videos of my clients’ pets than I do of anything else. And really… can you blame me? 🥹💚

One of the best parts of this job is getting to love them like they’re my own.

Some dogs just have a way of making it feel like they’ve always been part of your life. 🥹🐾

Kane and Rhett are two of those dogs. It hasn’t taken long for these boys to carve out a pretty special place in my heart. I absolutely adore them, and getting to care for them is one of those little reminders of just how lucky I am to do what I do. ❤️

Sometimes you don’t need years to love someone like you’ve known them forever. 🐶💕

I don’t know… somebody’s eye might fall out. One of the ducks might stop quacking. A random animal I absolutely did not need might require immediate assistance. I gotta look into that. 🤷‍♀️

I adore Bailey... and judging by the greeting I got on my first visit back since vacation, I’d say the feeling is mutual. 😂

I honestly don’t know who missed who more. She sure is a special girl, even if she is part sweetheart, part chaos gremlin. 😆🐾

First visit back after vacation and I got to spend it with Cole, Finley, and Quinn. 🥹🐾

I missed these sweet faces SO much while I was away. Vacation was amazing, but there really is something special about coming home and getting back to the animals I love and missed.

Safe to say I was very happy to see them again. I’d like to think they missed me too. 😂❤️

Florida photo dump 🌴💍

Weeki Wachee was everything I hoped it would be and more.

Kayaking the crystal clear river, manatees swimming by us, turtles everywhere, the Weeki Wachee mermaids, sunsets at Pine Island Beach, our little glamping oasis on the canal, and so many little moments in between.

And, of course, getting engaged in the middle of all of it. 💍

We packed a lot into a few days, but somehow it still felt peaceful. I already know this is going to be one of those trips we talk about forever.

Florida, you were very good to us. 🤍

One of my favorite parts of owning a small business is getting the chance to recognize another woman who has taken something she genuinely loves and built something really special out of it.

So this post is for Sarah and Big Love Glamping. 🌿

We stayed at her Weeki Wachee Waterfront Airstream for our Florida trip, and this wasn't just somewhere to sleep at the end of the day. The entire property felt like an experience that someone had actually poured herself into.

We went all in and added the upgrades, and I'm SO glad we did.

We had a hammock tucked underneath mature, fruiting banana trees, an adult sized swing hanging from the porch overlooking the canal, a spotless hot tub, and probably the coolest outdoor shower I've ever used. There were homemade touches like jam, vegan pancake mix and maple syrup, plus matcha face masks for a little extra self care.

Then there was the wildlife. 🐢🌿

Turtles, birds, little Florida critters everywhere, and manatees in the river.

Kayaks and paddle boards were provided, so we could literally walk outside, get on the canal and paddle our way to the crystal clear Weeki Wachee River.

And obviously that particular kayak trip ended up being a little more memorable than we expected. 💍😂

We caught one of the most incredible sunsets I've ever seen at Pine Island Beach, saw the Weeki Wachee mermaids, spent time on the water and got to experience a side of Florida that felt completely different from the usual tourist trip.

But what really made me want to share this on the Feathers to Tails page was Sarah herself.

As another woman who built a business around something I genuinely love, I have so much respect for what she's created. You can tell this isn't just a rental property to her. She loves nature, she loves this area, and she has created a space specifically so other people can slow down and experience it too.

There is something really cool about seeing another woman take what she loves, build something of her own and do it in a way that still feels personal and authentic.

So from one woman owned small business to another, this is your Feathers to Tails shoutout. 💚

Sarah, you created something really, really special.

And considering we arrived as boyfriend and girlfriend and left engaged, I think Big Love Glamping officially lived up to its name. 😂💍🌿

Well, vacation content is officially starting with a pretty big update...

We came home engaged. 💍🌿

Somewhere in the middle of kayaking the Weeki Wachee River, we stopped to swim and cool off. Eric dove down and found me a little piece of mother of pearl from a shell. I went to put it away, turned back around... and he was down on one knee.

In the middle of the river, surrounded by Florida jungle.

An absolutely Ferngully level proposal. 😂 And honestly, I don't think he could have planned anything more us if he tried.

And somehow, the ring is just as perfect.

Aquamarine in the center for mine and my oldest's birthstone, surrounded by opal petals for my youngest, with emerald leaves for Eric. A little piece of every one of us wrapped into one ring. 💚

So apparently, in between caring for everyone else's furry, feathered and four legged family members, I'll also be planning a wedding now.

And if you know me at all, you already know this is absolutely going to be a Feathers to Tails style wedding. 🐾🌿

Vacation animal adventures are still coming... I just happened to bring home a fiancé, too. 😂
