Olive is excited to bring Thanksgiving cookies to her playmates at Bayside Bed & Biscuit.
It’s been some time since Mom did any treat baking. It brought back so many memories of when the bakery was open. We would be busy preparing Thanksgiving Day Snack Packs and gearing up for the holiday season. Good times!

I know Bill will kill me for posting this but I just think it too cute not to. Horatio can't even wait until Bill starts to sing. He LOVES the Happy Birthday song no matter who it is for. Tonight it just so happens it is for him!

Happy 10th birthday to our dear boy Horatio. Even today he still has that sweet puppy face. He will get to celebrate with cake with his sister, Lizzie (in pink birthday scarf) when he gets home in June.

Little Miss Sydney was missing Joe Paws so Horatio and Barkley said they wanted to share the Yum! Such a patient little girl. Hope they were "Lip Smackin' Good!"

Unfortunately, this is not a yummy Joe Paws treat post. Some of you may have heard about this horrible case of abuse by a veterinarian in Texas. I know this is not a practicing vet in PA, however; I ask you to take a moment to sign this petition so that the AVMA revokes her license so that she may not practice again- anywhere! Heaven forbid she maintained her license, moved to your state and began practicing at your vet's office!

Kristen Lindsey is a Veterinarian she was a vet in Brenham (Austin County) TX who made news for shooting (with a bow and arrow) and killing a neighborhood domestic cat. Lindsey then went on to Facebook to brag about her kill, with a photo of her holding up the dead cat with an arrow through its head…

Not sure where this lawsuit will lead, but the moral of the story is "be mindful of what you are feeding your pet." Don't let creative marketing fool you. Read labels and do a bit of research. A good place to start is www.dogfoodadvisor.com. Pet foods are rated and questionable ingredients are noted.
