How is my Valentine’s Day going?
I started the morning off with trying to resuscitate a newborn goat for three hours and ended the day pulling a backwards calf out of a first time mama unfortunately, neither babies made it, but luckily the mother’s live another day. The little goat was a girl, I named her Val for Valentine’s Day an buried her at my house. This is by far the hardest part of what I do. I have no doubt I am more expensive than the high school kid feeding, but when I’m taking care of animals, I’m not just throwing feed. No matter this situation I am all hands on deck.
