I am excited to announce we have not only 1, but 3, horseman participating in the Bluebonnet Training Challege and Expo this year!

My Challege partner is Ozzy, an 18 year old paso fino gelding. He came in underweight and anxious. He has spent the last month gaining confidence around people and weight. Ozzy has had some ground work and basic handling which he has been great for. Unfortunately the farrier has only been able to do his front feet but we are working on that.

I am thrilled to be supporting this rescue for the second year and helping the sweetest boy find his perfect home.

This time last year Nimbus was coming to me as a project that could barely be ridden.

LOOK AT NOW!! Taking amazing care of his youth rider and always giving his best. A true testament to the Arabian nature. 💚

Nimbus and Aubrey are working hard at home to prep for their show debut next weekend.

Our show team had a great day at Hidden Lakes yesterday! Everyone worked hard, loved their horses and met their personal goals. I am so proud to have this group of kind, generous and talented equestrians.

MacKenzie and Sebastián have formed a wonderful bond which resulted in their best show ever! They worked together so well and earned some great placings.

Aubrey and Sebastián stepped up into a new division and although Aubrey was positive she would forget all the courses, she didnt miss a jump and placed in every round.

Carter and Arion entered the 18" ring for the last time yesterday. After their Reserve Champion win and a Series Champion win they will be stepping up into the 2 ft ring. We are excited about the growth this pair has shown.

Slowly getting back to normal! Today's I was able to

• Do a hay run

• Clean up the "poopsicles" that have been collecting in pasture

• Reorganize the feed and hay storage, because the last few days have been a little hectic

• Use a hose to fill water troughs instead of a bucket!

• And most exciting, I did not have to break and scooped out ice!! 🥳

Ready to be back to lessons as soon as roads are safe for everyone 😁

Horses are snug in their blankets, enjoying their warm mash meals, drinking great and eating lots of hay to keep their bellies full. We are so thankful that everyone here is weathering the winter storm so well!

However, we are all dreaming of warmer days ☀️

What are some things you have done to help make feeding during the cold easier? One thing I have done is instead of a wheelbarrow I have been using a large tote like a sled to move feed to the horses. It works like a charm!

Who doesn't love starting the day with a water leak 🙃 Happy Friday!!
