🌟 EXCITING NEWS for young horse owners, riders, and breeders! 🌟

Starting this year, ESDCTA is offering a NEW year-end awards division: Breed Show & Young Horse High Score Awards!

These new awards are offered in two categories:

🏆 In-Hand High Score Award: Open to horses competing in sport horse in-hand classes at ESDCTA-recognized shows, including ESDCTA Memorial Weekend Dressage and other eligible breed shows.

Requirements include:
- 2 scores from in-hand classes from 2 different judges
- 8 volunteer hours
- Horse owner must be an ESDCTA member (horse handler does not need to be!)

🏆 Materiale High Score Award: Open to 3, 4, and 5 year old horses competing in materiale classes at ESDCTA-recognized shows.

Requirements include:
- 3 scores from materiale classes from 3 different judges at 3 different shows
- 8 volunteer hours
- Rider must be an ESDCTA member

Uneven tack can be one of the problems that affect your dressage scores. Leather can get stretched as it ages. While many people know the stirrup leather can stretch, did you know the reins can too? When a horse is consistently heavier on one rein, after a while the tabs can become uneven. You think you are riding evenly in the contact, but you may not be. It’s best to get out the tape measure! Don’t let crooked or uneven tack get in the way of a great centerline and halt!!

We have a rare opportunity at Leading Edge Dressage. An onsite lease option on one of our amazing horses. North Star (Stella) Dam of Van Halen DR and Santana DR who is back to work and taking a break from mom duty. She is getting fit and loves having a job. Currently at 1st level fitness, but has knowledge up to 3rd that will start showing itself as she gets stronger. This is a great opportunity to train with a USDF Gold medalist and L grad with distinction, and possibly an opportunity to show as well. Lease will include weekly lessons. Lisa is a kind compassionate teacher that specializes in the "how and Why" of riding. Message Lisa if you want to discuss this opportunity
