A sad day here at Danes Central 🐾

Sometimes, no matter how much we plan, prepare, and hope, things happen that are completely beyond our control.

Brynn was bred to Hank, a pairing that has given us some absolutely amazing puppies in the past. We were so excited and ready for another beautiful litter and, of course, some X-Large puppy snuggles. ❤️

Unfortunately, Brynn was carrying just one single puppy, and sadly, that little one did not make it.

Then today, our biggest concern became Brynn.

She developed a high fever, so we rushed her to our amazing vet clinic, where she spent the day being cared for and monitored. We were able to bring her home this evening, and she is now resting comfortably with pain medication and antibiotics.

The good news is that things are looking positive, and we fully expect our girl to make a complete recovery. ❤️

We are definitely sad. When you raise these dogs, you get excited right along with everyone waiting for those first puppy pictures, those tiny paws, and all those puppy snuggles. Losing even one hurts, and losing the only puppy is especially heartbreaking.

But tonight, we are mostly grateful to have Brynn home with us, resting and getting all the love she deserves. Puppies can come another day. Right now, our girl is what matters most. 🐾❤️

No fear. No drama. The Danes barely pay attention to her. She’s simply one of the pack, just in a MUCH smaller package. ❤️🐾

When you bring home the new baby and the entire welcoming committee is lined up waiting to meet her. 😂🥹🐾

Five Great Danes, one teeny tiny new baby, and SO much excitement. ❤️ They could hardly contain themselves waiting for their turn to meet the newest little member of the family.

🐾 Two Great Danes Seeking New Homes 🐾

Unfortunately, one of our Dane families has found themselves in the difficult position of needing to rehome their two Great Danes.

They have a black female and a Merle male who are both looking for appropriate, loving homes. This has not been an easy decision for their family, and the goal is to find placements that are safe and the right fit for each dog.

We do want to be completely transparent that the male recently had a bite incident involving a person. He is currently intact, and the female has been in heat, which may have contributed to heightened behavior; however, we cannot say with certainty what caused the incident. His bite history will be fully disclosed to anyone seriously considering him, and his new home will need to be experienced and prepared to manage him responsibly.

The owners are seeking new homes for both dogs at this time. They may be placed separately if that provides the best and safest situation for each of them.

If you are experienced with Great Danes and believe you may be able to provide an appropriate home for either dog, please reach out privately for additional information.

🏡 Looking for the Perfect Retirement Home for Remi 🐾❤️

We are looking for a very special forever home for our sweet girl, Remi.

Remi is a 4-year-old spayed female and one of our retired mommas. She can be a little shy when first meeting someone, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up. Once she does, she absolutely loves attention, cuddles, and LOTS of butt scratches. ❤️

Remi is not a dominant female, so we feel she would thrive best as the only female dog in the home, where she doesn’t have to compete for attention and can finally enjoy being the spoiled girl she deserves to be.

She has spent her time with us being a wonderful momma, and now it’s her turn to have a family where she can simply be someone’s baby. 🥹❤️

We are in no hurry and will be very selective about where Remi goes. Finding the right home, with lots of love, attention, cuddles, and a comfy place to call her own, is what matters most.

Apparently one new baby girl wasn’t enough excitement around here… 😂

We are so excited to finally share that our sweet Olive is EXPECTING! 🐾🤎

That means we are officially heading into BABY SEASON around here—with Brynn expecting her babies and now Olive preparing to welcome some teeny-tiny Chihuahua babies of her own! 🥹

From Great Dane babies to itty-bitty Chihuahua babies… October is going to be a little crazy, a whole lot adorable, and filled with puppy snuggles. ❤️🐾

🐾💕 SURPRISE… WE HAVE A NEW BABY GIRL! 💕🐾

Well… we did a thing. 😂 Meet the newest—and definitely tiniest—member of our crew!

She may be little, but apparently her arrival was BIG NEWS around here. 😂 One by one, the Danes had to line up to meet their new baby sister and give her the official sniff of approval. 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

And yes… this sweet girl came with her very own little heart right on her nose. 🤎🥹

There’s just one problem…

SHE STILL DOESN’T HAVE A NAME! 😂

We have gone back and forth and back again because it has to be perfect. So for now, she’s our sweet little Baby No-Name—the tiny girl who walked into a house full of giants and immediately stole everyone’s hearts. ❤️🐾

Now the big question… what do we name her?!

🎉 Well… for those of you who were secretly rooting for Brynn & Hank, your wish will be coming true! ❤️🐾

They officially have had a breeding date! 😂 Brynn’s due date will be October 3rd.

Don’t worry, though—this doesn’t mean we’re skipping Rue! She typically comes into season about a month after Brynn, so we’re still planning for her as well.

If you’ve been hoping for a Brynn × Hank puppy, now is the time to get on the waitlist! These spots tend to fill quickly, so don’t wait if you’ve been thinking about adding one of these amazing pups to your family.

🐾 I need your help deciding! 🐾

Because of next year’s wedding plans in Florida, I won’t be breeding my girls in the spring. ❤️💍🌴 That means this fall will likely be our only planned litter before we take a little break.

So… who are you hoping to see puppies from?

🤎 Brynn?
🤍 Rue?

If there is enough interest and the waiting list grows enough for both girls, we could potentially do both litters.
