Family Affair on the Van Today! 🚐🐾
We had a very special trio of pups in the mobile salon today—including a sweet brother-and-sister duo! Here is how our Wednesday unfolded:

Delilah: This gorgeous long-haired Chihuahua started our day. She’s a gentle senior soul who handled her haircut and paw/nail trim like an absolute queen. She left looking like a brand-new little lady! ✨

Mike: Delilah’s brother was up next! While she’s bright white, creamy-colored Mike is mighty in name and spirit (even if he’s just a tiny guy who loves to curl into a ball). We caught up on his coat and nails, and he was such a good sport before heading home to his sister. 🤍

Finnegan: Our final star rocked his purple harness and blue patterned bandana with pride! He was thrilled about the treats and loved soaking up all the center-of-attention vibes before wrapping up our day. 💙

Three dogs, one busy van, and two siblings reunited at home. Doesn't get much better than a Wednesday like this!

Today was a family affair. Two of my three dogs were brother and sister from the same house, and the third one closed out the day. Here is how Wednesday went!

Darling Delilah the Long-Haired Chihuahua
Delilah was first, and she is a long-haired chihuahua. That is exactly why she gets a haircut — that long coat needs managing, and when it is done right she comes out of the van looking like a whole new little lady.

She is a sweet old girl and a gentle soul. We took our time with her feet and her nails, and she stood through all of it without much fuss. She left with a fresh clip and she looked absolutely adorable.

Mighty Mike the Long-Haired Chihuahua
Mike came next, and Mike is Delilah's brother. Not from the same litter, but from the same household — so he is a long-haired chihuahua too. Where Delilah is white, Mike is more of a creamy color, and he is a very sweet boy.

His nails had gotten long on him.

Delilah and Mike are brother and sister chihuahuas from the same house, and Finnegan rounded out the day. Three dogs and one very busy van.

When I ask for a copy of your dog's vaccination record before a first appointment, I am not being difficult. I am looking at one specific document, and there are a handful of details on it that I genuinely need to see in order to groom your dog safely. This post walks through a real record so you can check yours against the same checklist before your next visit.
For a longer read on why we require records in the first place, see the Why Vaccination Records Are Required at Vroom Grooms post. This one is the practical reference: here is what I am reading when I open your file.

Where This Fits in the Vroom Grooms Terms
Vaccination records are not just a Vroom Grooms preference. They are part of our published Terms under Section 02: Health & Vaccinations. The relevant pieces, in plain language:

- Required vaccines: Rabies and DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) are mandatory. Bordetella is highly recommended.

🐾 Three Dogs, Three Completely Different Spa Days! 🚐✨
If you think every dog loves spa day the same way, think again! Today in the van gave us the full spectrum of personality:

Nala was our sweet, shy puppy who wasn't quite sure about the big monster of a high-velocity dryer, but stood like an absolute champ for her bath and nail trim. By the end, she was yawning and half asleep waiting for mom! 🥱💕

Tina is a professional kisser whose entire personality revolves around loving on her groomer. Nose, forehead, hands—she didn't care, as long as kisses were happening! She rocked her hair cut and citrus-scented bath like a superstar. 🍊🐶

Ellie is a long-bodied rescue with opinions—especially when it comes to her toes! She threw a full tantrum over her nails, gave chat all the details about her tragic suffering, and then looked adorably ridiculous rocking twin pink hair bows. 🎀😂

My van is currently full of hair, my ears are still ringing from Ellie's dramatic speeches, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Three dogs today, and three completely different ideas about what spa day should be. One was a puppy who thought the dryer was a monster, one could not stop giving kisses, and one threw a tantrum you could hear from the driveway. Here is how Tuesday went in the van!

Nala the Shy Little Puppy
Nala was up first, and Nala is a puppy. Not very old at all — I do not think she is even a year yet. She has a thick, dense coat with real substance to the hair itself, and she is not much of a shedder.

She was shy about the whole thing. Every step of the way she wanted to know where her mom was. But she let me do everything without a single complaint. I took her nails down and trimmed off a dew claw, and she stood through her bath like a champ. The dryer was the one thing she could not get behind. She is not a fan of the high-velocity dryer yet, so we towel dried her as far as we could and took the rest slow.

Nala was a shy puppy, Tina could not stop giving kisses, and Ellie threw a tantrum over her nails. Three dogs, three personalities, one very full van.

The van pulls into the driveway, the dog's ears go up, and the whole operation happens right there: water, table, tub, dryer, and me. No drop-off, no pickup window, no hours in a crate waiting for a turn. Here is what mobile grooming actually means for your dog, your day, and your dog's nerves.
The Whole Salon Comes to You
The van is a complete grooming setup on wheels: a tub with warm water, a grooming table, a high-velocity dryer with an adjustable speed, and every brush, clipper, and towel the job needs. The only thing missing from a full-service salon is the waiting room, and that is the point. The waiting room is where the day gets long for a dog.
What Your Dog Skips
At a storefront shop, a groom is a whole production: the car ride, the lobby with other dogs, hours of waiting in a kennel between steps, the car ride home. Some dogs take that in stride. Plenty do not.
With the van, your dog's total time away from you is the groom itself.

The whole salon on wheels: no lobby, no crates, no all-day wait. What your dog skips with mobile grooming, why anxious and senior dogs do best in the van, t ...

🧠 PUPPY TRIVIA TUESDAY with Vroom Grooms! 🐾✨

Different coats require different care routines! Match the coat type to its primary maintenance need:

A) Curly coats (like Poodles)

B) Double coats (like Huskies)

C) Wire coats (like Schnauzers)

Clue Box:

Needs regular hand-stripping or clipping to maintain texture.

Doesn't shed much traditionally, but hair keeps growing and loops into curls (high matting risk!).

Blows its undercoat seasonally, requiring high-velocity drying and thorough brushing.

Drop your answers in the comments (e.g., A-2, B-3, C-1) and let’s see who the ultimate dog-coat expert is! 👇🏆

Three dogs, three very different coats, and exactly one of them came in needing a rescue. Here is how Monday went in the van!

Cayman the Shiloh Shepherd

Cayman was up first, and he is a big boy. Shiloh Shepherd, just over a year old, and he is a baby about it. His nails were so thick that I had to work for them, and he told me every step of the way that he did not care for it. He has opinions, this one, but he is sweet about them.

The bath was where he really made his feelings known. He was halfway back out of that tub the entire time, and I finally had to put him on a lead so we could get through it. He also has one of the fluffiest double coats I have put in that tub in a while. When I pulled the filter out afterward, it was a solid wall of Cayman. There was so much of his hair in there that I told the stream there was a whole other Cayman in my bathtub. I was not exaggerating.

Bear the Pomeranian

Bear is a little Pomeranian with a big fluffy coat, and he is so stinking cute.

🐾 Big coats, big opinions, and a van full of fur! Monday in the Vroom Grooms mobile unit was an absolute whirlwind. Here’s a quick recap of our three very different furry clients:

🐶 Cayman (Shiloh Shepherd): A gentle giant with a lot to say! From complaining about his thick nail trim to trying to walk backward out of the tub, Cayman gave us all the sass. Bonus: His double coat was so massive that the air filter looked like a whole second Cayman materialized inside it!

🐻 Bear (Pomeranian): Absolute cuteness overload, but a great reminder of why coat maintenance matters. Bear had some tight knots behind his ears from being away, and because our strict policy means we never pull on live skin, Bear got a comfy short-hair reset. A little 5-minute brush-out a few times a week keeps the matts away!

🐺 Nikita (Siberian Husky): A stunning girl who marched to the beat of her own drum. We took her nail grind nice and slow, respected her boundaries when she said "no" to teeth brushing, and survived the epic full-coat blow-dry session (fur chunks everywhere!). She rocked a fresh bandana and headed home a happy pup. ✨

Van, air filter, and back are all officially recovering... and I wouldn't trade this job for the world! ❤️
