Meet Mimi!
Mimi will belly crawl to a new person and show a little smile! She loves attention and belly rubs. Mimi is 6 months old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date with vaccines and prevention. She has lived with other dogs but we do not know yet if she get's along with cats. At 6 months and under 30lbs we expect her to be around a medium sized dog.

WCHS exists to be a community leader providing services and resources that enrich the relationship between animals and humans through advocacy, education, and animal welfare. With this mission in mind, programs have been developed to assist the pets and people of the community. These programs include a temporary safe haven for animals as their people flee from violent situations and food assistance for Wood County residents in need.

The volunteer Board of Directors develop our bylaws, budget, maintain our grounds and are responsible for fundraising!

Meet Long John Silver!
This pirate named fellow is not as dastardly as his swashbuckling namesake! He is a neuter male around 4 years old and gets along with other cats. He came to us with some fleas and hair loss but trust now that those are taken care of, he will regrow that luscious long coat!
