Please keep our sweet 7-year-old duck Drake in your thoughts. We believe Drake was accidentally stepped on by one of the larger animals here at the rescue, causing him to break his leg. Thankfully, thanks to our amazing veterinarian and quick care, we are hopeful that Drake will make a full recovery with lots of rest, medication, and time to heal. Right now he’s resting comfortably and getting plenty of extra love and attention from our team. Injuries like this can be scary, but Drake is a tough little guy and we’re staying positive for his recovery. Thank you to everyone who continues to support and care about all of the animals here at Lily’s Ranch and Rescue. Please send Drake all the healing thoughts and prayers you can. 🦆💕

🚨Postponed🚨
Unfortunately, due to the weather, we will no longer be able to host our anniversary celebration with Southern Paws Animal Rescue. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. While our event has been postponed, please make sure to go out and support Southern Paws Animal Rescue’s 2 Year Anniversary Celebration on May 30th at the Logan County Animal Shelter! They will have a car wash, bouncy castle, raffles, and so much more fun for the whole family. We are incredibly thankful for this amazing community and can’t wait to celebrate together soon. We will share updates about a new date for our anniversary celebration as soon as possible.

Have you seen the 22 new rescues we’ve taken in since January 2026? Twenty-two lives that needed a safe place to land. Twenty two animals that now know what it feels like to be cared for, protected, and loved. Every single rescue that has come through our gates has received full veterinary care, proper feed, farrier care, and endless love from our team and supporters. At Lily’s Ranch and Rescue, we now care for more than 150 animals every single day, and while it is the greatest honor, it is also an enormous responsibility. The reality is that rescue never stops. Hay deliveries, grain, medical expenses, bedding, fencing repairs, supplements, and daily care continue no matter what. We say “yes” because these animals deserve a chance, but we truly cannot do it without this community standing beside us. Meet Casanova 🤎
This sweet boy joined Lily’s Ranch and Rescue this week after coming from an abandonment case. While his story is heartbreaking, his spirit somehow remains so incredibly kind. Casanova arrived covered in ticks, with feet that have clearly gone without care for far too long. Thankfully, his weight is good, and despite everything he’s been through, he has been nothing but gentle and loving since stepping off the trailer. One of the hardest parts for us to think about is that he’s been living alone for such a long time. Horses are herd animals they depend deeply on companionship, friendship, and connection. Watching Casanova light up seeing other horses again has been emotional for all of us. You can truly see the relief in his eyes knowing he’s finally safe and no longer alone. Over the next few weeks, Casanova will need veterinary care, vaccines, deworming, farrier work, and a full dental float to help him feel his absolute best. We are so excited to welcome him into our family and give him the love and care he has always deserved. Thank you to everyone who followed along with his rescue and cheered him on from afar. Casanova is currently looking for his very own sponsor to help support his ongoing care and recovery. Sponsorships truly change lives here and allow horses like him to finally get their second chance. 🐴✨
