Snow Weekend!

Well, the dog show this weekend was cancelled due to the impending snowpocolypse. (It was a good thing too, as we got like 8" of snow that switched to sleet after dark, creating 3" of ice on top of the snow... dubbed snowcrete). Larry Painter Clinic in Berryville, VA

Well, for the first time ever, I wasn't actually attending the clinic as a participant, but as a worker. Blue Ridge January Herding Trial

The first week of the new year got started off with a bang! Fiddle: Finished her Started B Course Duck Title with a High in Trial (92), and tying for High in Trial (92, and 89), with an advanced level dog, which breaks the tie and wound up with Reserve High in Trial yesterday, and today. Herding in Berryville

On the way back from the Christmas Holiday, we decided to stop in to Berryville and work the stock before the trial the first weekend of the year! Mazikeen and Chunky worked gathering the cattle, Rory worked on some basic driving skills, and a bit of fetching, and Tommy had his first exposure to cattle, and worked holding the pocket on a long line. Sue was working sheep for his PT, and Mazikeen and Fiddle were busy working ducks.

Herding at Claires
