A little change of scenery for Dr. Grier and Kalei! 🍁

We traveled to Maine this past week for a veterinary leadership conference! It was a great opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and bring some fresh perspectives back to Indian Peaks.

Of course, we couldn't visit Maine without doing a little exploring! We enjoyed a sunset boat tour, visited the historic Portland Observatory, and even indulged in some Maine lobster. 🦞

We're grateful for the continued trust and support of our clients, which allows us to keep learning, growing, and investing in the future of our hospital.

We wanted to share a few snapshots from our trip and give you a little glimpse of what we've been up to outside the hospital!

We know many pet parents are interested in feeding fresh foods made with recognizable ingredients, but finding that option can be more difficult when your dog has specific nutritional needs.

That's why we're excited to now carry Royal Canin Fresh Veterinary Diets!

These fresh diets combine the ingredients and feeding experience many pet parents are looking for with the science and formulation of a veterinary therapeutic diet. There are three options for dogs:

New World Screwworm has recently been detected in Texas and New Mexico, prompting increased surveillance and prevention efforts across the United States.

While no cases have been reported in Colorado at this time, we want to help keep you informed.

New World screwworm is a fly whose larvae can infest wounds and damaged tissue in warm-blooded animals. Pets with open wounds, surgical incisions, skin infections, or other areas of damaged skin are at greatest risk.

You can help protect your pet by:
✔ Keeping them on year-round parasite prevention
✔ Monitoring wounds closely
✔ Seeking veterinary care promptly for wounds that aren't healing normally
✔ Following all post-operative care instructions after surgery or procedures

From abandoned to absolutely adored. ❤️🐾

This handsome boxer, Rocko, hit the jackpot with a family that loves him endlessly, and we’re so grateful he got the second chance he deserved.
