Bart has been waiting far too long for his happily ever after. 🐾❤️

This sweet 9 year old Foxhound/Beagle mix is the definition of a good boy: gentle, affectionate, playful (yes! Still a playful boy at 9 years old!), and happiest when he’s curled up next to his people. Bart was rescued in the final hour before euthanasia at a crowded shelter, and now all he needs is a family to show him the love he’s always deserved.

Bart ended up in that high kill shelter when his owner passed away and he was found in the home mourning their loss.

After spending too much time in foster care, we’re hoping someone will finally see what we see: a loyal companion with a huge heart and so much love left to give.

WE STILL NEED A MOM AND PUPPIES FOSTER FOR THIS FAMILY. They arrive next week and will be 5 weeks old. 3 week commitment until they are 8 weeks old and old enough to be adopted.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 🚨
We’re a bit out of our minds, but we just HAD to help this sweet family so they didn’t die. But now we need a foster for them!!!
We are desperately searching for a foster home for a tiny 10-pound mama dog and her SIX puppies for just THREE WEEKS, beginning NEXT WEDNESDAY, June 24th.

The puppies are currently 5 weeks old and will be ready for adoption in about 3 weeks, so we just need a safe, loving place for this sweet family until then. ❤️

We would strongly prefer someone who has experience fostering a mama dog and puppies and understands the unique needs of young pups.

🐾 10-pound mama + 6 puppies
🐾 Foster needed starting Wednesday, June 24
🐾 Only a 3-week commitment
🐾 Experience with moms and puppies preferred

As a fully foster-based rescue, we can only save as many dogs as we have foster homes available. Right now, a lack of fosters means dogs are being left behind in overcrowded shelters simply because we don’t have a place for them to go.

Fostering is temporary, incredibly rewarding, and truly saves lives. We provide all supplies, support, guidance, and medical care…you just provide a safe place for a dog to stay until they find their forever family.

ZIGGY STILL NEEDS A FOSTER. Someone with experience with leash-reactivity would be great, and someone with a yard is a must. He is a sweet, sweet boy.

Sage is a 9 year old, purebred Dachshund with a story that we won’t soon forget. He was abandoned at a veterinary clinic in New Mexico, and from there brought to a shelter where his future was uncertain. When we learned about him, we knew we had to step in.

We are Farfel’s Farm & Rescue, a very small, foster based dog rescue in Boulder, Colorado. We are run by just two employees, and unlike larger shelters, we do not receive government funding and rarely receive donations. We take on dogs like Sage because they need someone to say yes, even when the medical or financial unknowns are big.

Sage is blind and has a very significant heart murmur, graded at a 5 to 6. We went into this rescue knowing that his time with us might be shorter than most. But what we didn’t expect was just how much life this little dog would bring with him.

Sage is pure joy. He is playful, goofy, and completely obsessed with toys. He doesn’t let his blindness slow him down for a second, and he approaches every day with excitement and curiosity. He is the kind of dog who reminds you to live fully, no matter the circumstances.

Right now, we need your help to give Sage the care he deserves.

In order to properly understand his heart condition and make sure we are doing everything we can for him, Sage needs an echocardiogram. This test will allow our veterinary team to evaluate his heart and determine the best plan for treatment, medications, and ongoing care so he can stay happy and comfortable for as long as possible.

The cost of the echocardiogram is just under $800, and that is our fundraising goal.

Every single donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Sage’s medical care. If you are not able to donate, sharing his story means the world to us.

Sage may not have had the best start, but we are committed to making the rest of his life as full of love, comfort, and joy as possible.
