I am feeling so incredibly lucky to have such compassionate experts looking after my furry friend. Every visit to the clinic leaves me feeling reassured because the team is just so dedicated to their work. Seeing how much they truly care about every animal makes all the difference in the world. I am sending a huge shoutout to these amazing technicians for their endless patience and kindness. It is a relief to know that my companion is in such capable hands during every checkup 🩺. My heart is full of gratitude for the entire staff for being total rockstars every single day!

Update: she is safe and sleeping in the rescue tonight. She will be going in tomorrow for surgery to get spayed, microchipped, and adress the abscess. Then back here to recover. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and donations to help with her care.

This little girl was left outside on the doorstep of Kitten Kornher Rescue this afternoon while i was out for a few. I'm not sure of the people's situation as to why thy turned her over to us, but i wish they had at least called or waited until someone was here to take her in. She is a bit scared and skittish at the moments and has a pretty bad abscess on her hind end. We are at Boulder Creek Veterinary Clinic now getting checked out and coming up with an action plan to help her heal. I am glad I am though of as a safe haven for cats, but this is also a financial block that I was not expecting. Atleast I know she will get great care and will have a safe place to recover to become healthy. Next step after that will be to find her a home where she will feel so loved.
Welcome to the rescue Tuesday!

Update: B8nx is good. She will have scaring on her eye from infection when younger, but still has s9me vision in her eye so no need for any surgery. When she is a little bigger and stronger, she will need a home.

Here at the Opthalmologist with Binx, a young kitten brought into the Kitten Kornher Rescue with an eye issue. We will update after the appointment.

I guess I should be shopping for a battery operated vacuum to use on days like this when the power is out in town.

🍓 From Raspberry to Strawberry… Look How Far She’s Come! 🍓

When this tiny girl first arrived at Kitten Kornher Rescue, she was frail, alone, and so very small. Her name at the time was Raspberry. ❤️
As I got her settled into her little space here at the rescue, I happened to have a strawberry-shaped scratcher that I put in with her. Before long, this tiny little fighter was climbing all over it, wrestling with it, and learning to conquer the strawberry! 🍓🐾

And somewhere along the way… Raspberry became Strawberry. ❤️
Today, we have some BIG little milestones to celebrate:

🍓 Strawberry has officially reached 1 pound!
🍓 She is eating great all on her own.
🍓 She is using the litter box like a big girl.
🍓 And yes… she has completely conquered that strawberry! 😂

These may seem like small things, but in kitten rescue, every ounce gained, every meal eaten, and every milestone reached is something worth celebrating.
Strawberry’s story is also a reminder that we don't do this alone.

To everyone who donates food, litter, supplies, money, or simply shares our posts — THANK YOU. Your support is what allows us to say “yes” when another tiny, fragile kitten like Strawberry needs somewhere safe to land.
❤️ Want to help us save the next Strawberry?
Please consider making a donation to Kitten Kornher Rescue. Whether it’s $5, $10, $20 or more, every donation helps provide food, formula, litter, medical care and supplies for the kittens who come through our doors.

🐾 Together, we can keep giving the smallest ones a fighting chance.
And Strawberry… keep conquering those mountains — even when they're shaped like fruit. 🍓😂❤️
