This is a very proud moment for me as both a dog trainer and a parent. Being able to give my four year old son the responsibility of walking one of our dogs and the fact that he asks everyday if he can. Knowing I can have full trust in both him and our dog Finn just warms my heart. Finn has come a long way from the very scared street dog from Puerto Rico I first met to being a fantastic training partner and helping so many other people with their dogs. I am so proud of both of them.

Its Isaac at Loving Leaders Dog Training. I am happy to say that after a very long time of fighting with the account recovery I am back into both my Instagram and Facebook accounts. It's been months of going through the process over and over to no response, but it finally worked. You can expect frequent post of everything dogs from now on. Happy to be back! 😊

Daily Dog Breed Overview: Akita 🐾

A large double coated breed that originated in Japan.
They were breed and used as guardian dogs and to hunt bears. Akitas as powerful, dominant and freedom loving. Can be aloof with strangers because of the guarding nature. Overall a very loyal dog breed, everyone that knows the story of Hachiko knows this breeds loyalty and devotion. However they are not the most cuddly dogs they love their freedom but have a fun temperament to them.
Akitas can have as variety of colors. American Akita is a bit larger in size and Akita inu are the pure Japanese strain of Akita.

Daily Dog Breed Overview: Airedale Terrier 🐾

A medium sized dog breed that originated in England. It’s the largest breed of the terrier group. Also known under “The King of Terriers.”
They are outgoing, intelligent, alert, friendly, confident and courageous.
These dogs were used to perform many jobs, the are great swimmers and hunters. They were just in the past as war dogs, messenger dogs, guide dogs and police dogs. They are very versatile workers but also make a great companion and family dog.
Airedale Terriers have a dense and wiry coat in tan and black that needs regular grooming, therefore they don’t shed and are considered hypoallergenic.

Daily Dog Breed Overview: Afghan Hound 🐾

Afghan Hounds are also known as the world’s most glamorous dogs.
Belonging to the hound group these beautiful dogs are described to be aloof and dignified, happy and clownish and can be incredibly loyal.
Genomic studies have pointed to the Afghan Hound as one of the oldest dog breed.
They are tall dogs, their coats can have any color.
The breed originated in the cold mountains of Afghanistan therefore their coats are thick, fine, silky and long and they have huge paw-pads that protected them from the rocky terrain.
They need lots of maintenance keeping their coat groomed.
They are locally known as Sag-e Tazi.
As many hounds they have a high prey drive as they were bred to use for hunting gazelles, hares and other large prey.
They are intelligent dogs but can be very stubborn making these dogs a bit harder to train.
