Humanity reaches new low.
Five boys under the age of 14 trapped the mother dog, Wang Wang, by holding her puppies. They wrapped iron wire around Wang Wang’s neck, dragged her, and beat both her and the puppies with spiked wooden sticks, killing all three puppies. Flammable liquid was then poured over the injured mother dog, and she was set on fire. This happened in China.
If teenagers are THIS cruel, juvenile law should not be applicable for them. They should be punished exactly the same way they treated the innocent mother dog and her puppies.
Growing up in India, I wasn’t a dog person. I never particularly liked them, or rather, they just didn’t matter much to me though I NEVER hated them either. We were simply taught to share space with them, and that was all.
Now, I see people hating animals so intensely, torturing the voiceless, and even targeting the rescuers who try to help them. Animal cruelty seems to be peaking everywhere, including India, where I see online every day how street dogs are mistreated and killed while local governments fail to hold abusers accountable. We desperately need stricter animal protection laws and real accountability.
I am often deeply disturbed and saddened by videos of street dogs being mistreated in India, but I usually keep that off this page. However, Wang Wang’s story marks a absolute low point for humanity. I truly cannot fathom how children could be so brutal.
