🎆 Fourth of July Pet & Farm Animal Safety Tips 🐶🐱🐐🐄
Fireworks, parties, and loud celebrations can be stressful & even dangerous for pets and farm animals. A little preparation can help keep your animals safe and calm this holiday!
✔️ Keep household pets indoors during fireworks✔️ Make sure collars, tags, and microchips are up to date✔️ Create a quiet, secure space with familiar bedding and toys✔️ Keep doors, gates, and barns securely closed✔️ Move farm animals to safe pastures or barns away from fireworks and heavy traffic✔️ Avoid feeding animals holiday foods or table scraps✔️ Check fences and enclosures before celebrations begin since scared animals often try to escape✔️ Talk to us ahead of time if your pet experiences anxiety during fireworks

Some pets may benefit from prescription calming medications to help reduce stress and fear during fireworks. If you think your pet may need medication, please call at least 3 days ahead before the holiday so we can help prepare a plan that works best for your animal.

📞 Please note: Our clinic will be CLOSED on July 4th. Be sure to request prescription refills and calming medications days in advance.

Even calm animals can panic from unexpected loud noises. Planning ahead can prevent injuries, escapes, and unnecessary stress.

We wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

This beautiful snowy day caused a power outage at Twin Pines and that means our phones are out! We can check voice and email messages and can do only do scheduled tech and exam appointments until we have power restored. Stay safe!! ❄️⛄️❄️⛄️🌲🌲

It was a beautiful but cold day out on farm calls yesterday! These piggies were enjoying some sun after their exams 🐽 ☀️

Speaking of the cold, did you see that snow is in the forecast? Make sure to keep offering your farm animals fresh and warm water so they stay hydrated through this cold spell. (Especially those male goats!)
