Hello dog owners! Just a friendly reminder to please pickup after your pup. While I know it is hard during the winter, it is not acceptable or neighborly to let the p**p lay around for the p**p fairy to clean up. She does not exist and no one wants to step on dog p**p, so please make sure you're not one of "those" people. ; ) Thank you!

TONIGHT!! Just a reminder that the Boston Parks Department will be hosting a dog park "pop-up" tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 4- 7 PM in the Wilderness Picnic Area inside of Franklin Park (enter from Glen Road and take the first large path on the right). The idea is to gauge interest in having dog parks inside of the park. Please consider attending! There will also be an official kick-off planning meeting on Thursday, Nov. 6, 6-7:30 PM at the FP Clubhouse. See details below:

The City's Parks Department is finally ready to start looking into building dog parks inside of Franklin Park. This is exciting news but we need everyone to attend and speak up for dog parks that are large enough to accommodate fetch and multiple areas for safe play. We hope that you can attend one of the pop-up discussions this month and later, the broader planning meeting at the Franklin Park Club House in November. See details below.

The newly-reopened Flaherty Playground is one small step for Chihuhuas, and one giant step for German shepherds — as it includes the first-ever official dog park in Jamaica Plain. The playground features a fenced-in dog run complete with a water fountain for dogs, a very cool three-level treehouse...

The first official dog park is now open in JP inside Flaherty Playground. It’s a huge success and let’s make sure we keep it that way. Please pick up after your pup and any stray p**ps pick those up too - it’s good karma. 😍. And remember this is a neighborhood park so be respectful of the neighbors concerns of excessive noise and parking. If we want more dog parks, this one must be a shining example. Thank you!
