Meet Mama Ruby, she was found abandoned in a field in Compton with her six tiny five-week-old puppies and was pulled from a high-kill shelter before the rescue stepped in to save the whole family. She raised all six of her babies with grace and devotion until every single one of them found a forever home. Almost a year later, she has yet to find a family of her own.

Ruby’s future family can expect a certified cuddle bug who lives for belly rubs, is fully potty trained, cat friendly, and wonderfully social with other dogs. She is just two years old and in great health, with so much love left to give. She devoted everything to her puppies and cheered them all off to their forever homes — now it is time for someone to do the same for her.

Meet Raffi, a spunky and irresistibly charming boy whose story started when a kind stranger found him alone on the side of the road and brought him to safety. A vet discovered an old snout injury that now gives him the most endearing little snorts, purely a quirky sound and not a health concern, but absolutely part of what makes him so uniquely lovable. Raffi was surrendered due to his, let's say, enthusiastic approach towards chickens. Between his toy-obsessed personality, his love of water and bubble-blowing in the kiddie pool, his joyful zoomies, and his friendly nature with kids and other dogs, it is genuinely hard to understand how this boy has not been scooped up already. Bonus: Raffi knows how to dress up and absolutely rocks a tie.

Whoever adopts Raffi is getting a dog who greets every single person and pup he meets as if they are his new best friend, because in his mind, they are. He is house-trained, knows his basic commands, and is in excellent health. He simply needs a home without cats or small livestock. Raffi's goofy, generous spirit makes every day more fun than the last, and he has so much love to give to a family willing to give it right back.

For over a year, Ember lived confined inside a storage container. When Arctic Rescue learned of her conditions, they acted quickly to bring her into care, and what followed has been nothing short of a transformation. She is built for movement and purpose, thriving on sled teams, bikejoring, hiking, and any adventure with her human.

Ember's ideal home is one that truly understands the husky breed and is ready to meet her where she is. She is still working through crate training and can be destructive when under-stimulated so keeping her busy is a must. She cannot live with small animals or livestock, and while she has done well with male dogs her size, slow and careful introductions are essential. This happy, energetic young boy is playful, curious, and always ready for his next adventure — whether that means zooming around outside, wrestling with a rope toy, or settling in for a serious chewing session with his beloved Benebone. He is friendly with dogs, cats, and kids, making him the kind of dog who fits right into the middle of a full, busy, loving household. He is kennel trained, doing great with potty training, and already working hard on his basic manners and leash skills.

Lucas is still young and has so much growing and learning ahead of him, which means his forever family gets to be a part of shaping him into the incredible dog he is already becoming. He will thrive with an active family who is excited to keep up his training, give him plenty of structure, and match his energy with adventures of their own. He is already neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention. All his new family needs to bring is love and a leash.

Meet Zazu, a big-eared, bigger-hearted goofball who has completely stolen the hearts of the shelter staff and will almost certainly steal yours too. He was a stray, but it did not take long for his outrageous personality and irresistible charm to come out. Zazu is sharp, active, and loves to stay busy, thriving on puzzle toys, training games, and any treat you are willing to offer. He is a social butterfly in playgroups, romping happily with other dogs, and his enthusiasm for learning makes him an absolute joy to work with. If you need any further proof of his larger-than-life personality, consider this: during a lake outing, Zazu discovered a deer femur bone and, with complete confidence and zero hesitation, ate the entire thing. That is Zazu, bold, curious, and fully committed to whatever he sets his mind to.

Zazu’s future family can expect a dog who is equally devoted to the art of cuddling. At the end of a big day, this boy is convinced he is a lap dog, and he will find a way to prove it by curling up as close to his favorite people as physically possible. Meet Spot, a gentle and soft-hearted boy whose story began in one of the hardest ways imaginable. He and his four siblings were discovered in rural southern Ohio, each one chained and left without proper shelter. Spot himself was tethered to a lawn mower, severely underweight, and without the basic care every dog deserves.

He had every reason to shut down and give up on people. Instead, he chose kindness. Spot has never shown a single moment of aggression, only a quiet, sweet spirit that grows a little brighter every single day. He is understandably shy at first, but underneath that timid exterior is a dog who is learning, slowly and surely, to trust the world again.

When you bring Spot home, patience and consistency will go a long way, and he will pay it back tenfold. He thrives in the company of other dogs and will need a confident canine companion in his forever home to help him continue coming out of his shell. He is also wonderful with cats, fully housetrained, and comfortable in his crate, making him a remarkably easy dog to welcome into a home that is willing to give him time. Thanks to the incredible people who rescued her and her loving foster family in New Jersey, she's now a thriving, healthy 66 pounds and absolutely full of life. She's wonderful with kids ages 5 and up, and is ready to reign as the one and only Queen of her forever castle.
