Meet Ollie, a 106-pound boy with the heart of a lap dog and absolutely zero awareness of his own size. He came to the rescue from a Texas shelter after months of waiting with no luck, arriving via a small volunteer hobby plane — because a boy this special deserves a grand entrance. Since landing with us, Ollie has grown more confident and comfortable every day, settling into the gloriously laid-back, mellow, and affectionate big guy he was always meant to be. He is friendly with everyone he meets, loves playing with other dogs who share his relaxed energy, walks well on leash, and is fully kennel trained.

Ollie's future family can expect a gentle, goofball giant who will attempt to sit in your lap at every available opportunity. He is happiest when he is close to his people, soaking up affection from anyone willing to give it. He does best in a home without small children simply because of his size and his deep commitment to being on top of someone at all times. He had a health scare with bloat a few months ago but came through surgery like a champ, and with his stomach now tacked he is doing better than ever. All he needs now is a cozy home, a kiddie pool for summer, a big stuffed toy, and someone to sit on.
