WE’RE HIRING! 🐾

Boston Veterinary Care is seeking a full-time Medical Director and a full-time Veterinarian. BVC at ARL is more than a great place to practice medicine - it’s the neighborhood vet that gives back. As part of the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL), BVC offers the same comprehensive services as any top-tier clinic, with one important difference: 100% of the proceeds go directly to helping animals in need. Every client visit funds ARL’s shelter and community programs.

You’ll work in a busy, well-supported hospital with a diverse caseload that includes wellness care, sick visits, dentistry, surgery, and diagnostic workups. You’ll partner closely with experienced technicians and support staff (like Sepia!) who allow you to stay focused on practicing medicine.

When you practice at BVC, your work stretches beyond the exam room. To apply, please visit https://www.arlboston.org/careers/.

Spring brings longer days, warmer weather, and plenty of beautiful blooms 🌷 But while these flowers brighten up our homes and gardens, some of the most popular spring plants can be dangerous for dogs and cats.

Sweet senior Mister Otto Van Wagner (19 years young!!) stopped by our office last week for a routine visit—and a quick nap!

Consistent vet visits for pets 8-10 years and older are important since pets age faster than we do as humans. We recommend bringing your senior pets to the vet every 6-12 months. Annual bloodwork and urinalysis will screen for signs of systemic diseases, endocrine problems, and blood dyscrasia, among many other conditions that can be managed if caught early.

To better serve our Boston community, we are keeping things simple with a new, consistent schedule: Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. With more doctors on site, we’re here when you need us most.
