"I Found A Baby Wild Animal. What Do I Do Now?"

This time of year, the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) receives phone calls from concerned citizens who come across baby birds and other baby wild animals on the ground. Visit https://arl.boston/found-baby-wild-animal for tips on what to do when you see a baby animal on their own.

One gift: two animals helped! ❤️

Your donation will provide urgent care for an animal in our shelters AND help a local pet stay healthy and with their family. When you donate before June 15, your gift will be MATCHED to help two animals in need.

When Bingo stopped acting like his happy self, his family turned to ARL for help. Our vet team learned his lower eyelids were turning inward, a painful condition that requires surgery to fix.

Thanks to the Alice T. Whitney Helping Hands Fund (ATW), Bingo was able to get the surgery he needed to fix his eye! Today, Bingo is comfortable, happy, and back to his usual self because of supporters like you!

Double your impact by donating at https://arl.boston/ATW2026.

Swipe to see this special transformation! ❤️

When Ray arrived at ARL, he had extreme, painful matting, limiting his mobility. Our vet team shaved Ray and tended to additional wounds, providing him with relief and comfort. Now Ray is happy and healthier, and ready to find his new home!

Ray is a social, friendly 4 year old who is looking to be your new little shadow. He loves making new friends and does well with dogs and cats. His favorite spot is curled up on your lap or simply just being anywhere his people are. He’s not a big fan of being alone and has no problem voicing that opinion, but he is working on becoming more comfortable with his own company! If Ray sounds like the perfect guy for you, come meet him at our Dedham Animal Care & Adoption Center (55 Anna’s Pl).

Your donation today makes lifesaving care possible for animals like Ray.

ARL is here to help and serve as a safety net for families facing difficult moments. When circumstances change and a family can no longer provide the care their pet needs, we step in with compassion and without judgment. We honor that trust by helping each animal heal and finding them a safe, healthy, and loving home.

It’s hot out there! 🥵

Thanks to our friends at MassDOT, we’re here to remind you to NEVER leave an animal in a hot car—even with the windows cracked. With outside temperatures reaching 75-80 degrees, the interior of a car can heat up to well over 100 degrees in a matter of minutes, making it extremely dangerous for your pet. When the temperature rises, it's ®.

Keep an eye out for our 195 digital billboards across the state and learn more about our annual pet safety campaign, Too Hot for Spot®, at: https://arl.boston/THFS.

This bun has been searching for his new special home for quite some time now! Donkey is a 3 year old energetic boy who loves to explore. He’s looking for an experienced rabbit owner who understands that good friendships take time, patience, and plenty of trust-building. He isn’t a huge fan of handling and likes his space, but loves hopping around and watching the household happenings. He is litter box trained and takes pride in keeping his space neat and tidy. If you’re looking for a boy with a big personality, Donkey might just be the one for you! Come meet him this week at our Cape Cod location (3981 Main St, Brewster).
