Meet Lionel! 🐾

If there were an award for the best game of fetch, Lionel would take home the gold! 🥇

This playful pup absolutely LOVES his toys and could spend hours chasing them, tossing them around, and proudly carrying them in his mouth. He’ll even drop them at your feet and patiently wait for you to throw them again!

Lionel is a smart, eager-to-learn boy who has made great progress with his training. He’s mastered basic cues like “sit” and “down” and is working on “stay.” With his compact size and adventurous spirit, Lionel is always ready for some fun! He loves the water and would make a great companion for hikes, long walks, and outdoor adventures.

Lionel is currently enjoying life in a foster home, but interested adopters can arrange a meet-and-greet or stop by the Animal Rescue League of Boston Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center on Saturdays and Sundays during adoption hours to meet him. ❤️🐕

75 adoptions and a birthday? Now that’s a week worth barking about!

Good boy Baker was among those adopted last week. Before heading home, he hit the town to celebrate Cori Copley’s 9th birthday at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Now with a new human and a new dog sibling, we’re sure every day will be a paw-ty for him! 🎂🎉🐾

Kevin may have a little wobble in his walk, but with some support from you, he can continue to thrive! 🐱

As the only surviving kitten in his litter, Kevin has been through more than any little guy should. He was then diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition that affects balance and coordination. Despite all of this, it hasn’t slowed him down! Now thriving in foster care, Kevin is showing everyone that even with a wobble, you can go a long way when you have the support to keep you steady.

This $5 Friday, can you spare $5 for Kevin and other animals who need a little extra TLC? Your donation helps provide the care, comfort, and second chances that make happy endings possible ❤️

A big high-paw to a very special young animal lover who put her creativity to work for ARL animals! By making and selling homemade bracelets, she raised $150 to donate to our Dedham Animal Care & Adoption Center. It’s a great reminder that you’re never too young to make a difference for our furry friends! 🩷🐾

Blue may only be invested in belly rubs, but did you know there’s a tax-smart way to help animals like him? 🐾💰 If you have a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), today — DAF Day — is the perfect time to turn your charitable savings into immediate, lifesaving impact for local animals!

Think of a DAF like a personal charitable savings account. You recommend a grant, and those funds go straight to work providing medical care, shelter, and love to pets in need at the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Ready to recommend ARL? Visit https://arl.boston/DAF.

**Update: adopted!!** Timothy is ready to shake off shelter life and head to his retirement home! 🖤

This 11-year-old gentle soul recently lost his owner and is hoping to find a new family that will love on him in his golden years. Timothy is hearing & vision impaired, so he’ll need a bit of patience while he learns his way around his new surroundings.

He is super food motivated, very affectionate, and always ready to greet you with a tail wag. He is easy going and could do well in a home with another low energy pup or dog-savvy cat. It is important that Timothy’s new family is comfortable with his ongoing medical needs and will get him established with a vet after adoption. If this distinguished gentleman sounds like the perfect addition to your life, come meet him tomorrow between 1:00-6:00pm at our Dedham Animal Care & Adoption Center (56 Anna’s Pl).
