Last week our friend Zoey moved, so we wanted to take this time to share a few of our favorite pictures of her from the past few years.

Around 5 and a half years ago, Zoey first came to Brookside as an 8-week old puppy, started attending Puppy Play + Learn eventually enrolling in Foundations. After her training had completed she continued to attend Structured Daycare, where she made many friends over the years and became a regular in the Brookside pack. We'll miss seeing her around very much, but are forever grateful for the time we were able to spend with her. Wishing the absolute best to Zoey and her family! 🐾

Penny's entered week two of her Foundations training and although we're just getting started with the training process, in-between her training sessions intermittently throughout the day we're also having her work on holding "place" on the placeboard.

Ultimately, we want dogs to be in a calm, relaxed state when they're on the placeboard here in our facility. Instead of being overly concerned looking out the window at the people walking by, we'd like for them to learn that they don't need to be on alert watching everything all the time.

Although these pictures may not look like much, we're seeing that Penny's in the process of working it out in her head and learning that she can relax, even when other dogs/people/things are passing by. That calm, relaxed mental state is the end-goal of this process and we're sure that Penny will get there in no time!
