Today we're excited to welcome the newest member of our family—Madison! ❤️ We couldn't be happier to have her with us, and we're looking forward to spending the next two weeks getting to know her, making memories, and giving her lots of love and attention. We know it's going to be a wonderful time, and we can't wait to share some of our adventures with you!
We also want to wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸 As you celebrate, please remember to keep your pets safe. Fireworks can be frightening and stressful for many animals, so keeping them indoors, secure, and comfortable can help prevent accidents and lost pets.

July 4 is coming up, and for many pets, fireworks are not just loud. They can be stressful.

If your pet has a history of noise sensitivity, now is a good time to talk with your veterinarian. Appointment availability may be limited closer to the holiday, and medications can take time to fill.

A few simple steps at home may help reduce stress:

• Set up a quiet, safe space, such as a comfortable room, crate, or basement
• Use white noise, TV, or music to help muffle fireworks
• Try a snug-fitting garment, such as an anxiety wrap, if your pet tolerates it
• Keep pets securely indoors
• Check that ID tags and microchip information are up to date

Your veterinarian can help determine what is appropriate for your pet’s health and behavior history.

Here goes: I swore I would never do it again , but here we are.
I've had a lot of mixed emotions through this journey--lots of smiles, but even more tears. My great-nephews said it best: "We won't forget Bella." And thev're right. We won't
Bella was truly one in a million. She was incredibly well-trained, amazingly obedient, and honestly never seemed to realize she was a dog. There will never be another Bella, and we're not going to replace her. Some pets simply can't be replaced,
Sometimes love makes room for a new beginning
Our sweet baby will be coming home on the very same day Bella came home 14 years ago. We will be bringing her home amd getting her acclimated during our summer break. So again, we are closed and not taking calls from July 3- 17.

We are incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Baker of Warrick Veterinary Clinic. Dr Baker was as kind and compassionate a vet you can find. He instilled these wonderful values in all of his employees as well. He was incredible with our farm animals and pets alike and he will be incredibly missed. Our condolences to his home and work family. l🐾 💔 🐾

Ive already seen too many articles locally about pets being left in hot cars, so here goes:

Leaving a dog in a parked car, even for a few minutes, can quickly become life-threatening. On a warm day, the temperature inside a vehicle can rise dramatically in a short amount of time, even with the windows cracked open. Dogs do not cool themselves as efficiently as humans; they rely primarily on panting to regulate their body temperature. When the air around them becomes too hot, they can rapidly develop heat stress or heatstroke. Signs of overheating include excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion, bright red gums, collapse, and seizures.
Heatstroke is a medical emergency that can cause organ failure, brain damage, and death if not treated promptly. Many people underestimate how quickly a vehicle can become dangerous, especially in direct sunlight. The safest choice is to leave your dog at home when running errands that require leaving them unattended in a vehicle. If you see a dog showing signs of distress in a hot car, contact local authorities immediately and seek help. A few minutes of caution can save a dog's life. 🐾☀️🚗 BE SMART! JUST DONT DO IT!
