Meet Pixie!

Pixie would like everyone to know that she is not judging you.
That’s just her face.

Okay, actually… she probably is judging you a little. Your life choices. Your outfit. The fact that you don’t immediately offer treats upon entering a room. Standard cat stuff.

Behind that permanently unimpressed expression, though, is a sweet, calm girl who loves sunny windows, quiet companionship, and eventually blessing her chosen humans with belly displays and head-pat privileges. Pixie is talkative when she has opinions (which is often), but once you earn her trust, she’s an affectionate and loyal companion.

Basically, if you’ve ever wanted a tiny, furry Victorian aunt who silently critiques your decisions while secretly loving you very much, Pixie is your girl.

Meet Shelbi!

Shelbi is the perfect in-between size—not too big and not too small—just right for cuddles and companionship. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a bit of time and she’ll warm up into a loyal, loving friend.

Shelbi gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and even farm animals, making her a great fit for a variety of homes. Catching ball is her game and she also enjoys play time with other dogs. She’s both house-trained and crate-trained, so she’s already got great manners under her belt. Also, she listens well to correction.

She also enjoys car rides and is always happy to tag along for an adventure. If you’re looking for a gentle, well-rounded companion, Shelbi might just be your girl!

Today is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day and it’s one of our favorite days to celebrate 💛

While we are a foster-based rescue, everything we do is connected to shelters across Missouri. We partner with organizations working hard every day to care for animals in need and help reduce overcrowding so more lives can be saved.

That includes amazing partners like Central Missouri Humane Society and many others throughout the state.

Choosing to adopt from a shelter or rescue doesn’t just change one life, it creates space for another animal who needs help. It’s a ripple effect that truly saves lives.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a pet to your family, today is the perfect reminder to consider a shelter pet first 🐾

Meet Ivy!

Ivy is as beautiful as her name, with stunning coloring that makes her truly stand out. But it’s her sweet, soulful eyes that will melt your heart the moment you meet her. She absolutely adores attention and will happily soak up all the love you have to give—especially if it comes in the form of ear scratches. Ivy is a big fan of head butts, using them as her way of saying “I love you” and asking for even more affection.

Ivy has a gentle, affectionate personality and would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of love and attention.

Though she previously lived with other cats, she's decided that she'd prefer to be the only cat in the home. She has lived with dogs in the past - we don't know if she's changed her mind about canines but she'd probably be ok with respectful dogs.

If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a big heart, Ivy is ready to fill your days with cuddles, affection, and plenty of adorable head bumps. 💕
