Buckle up for this ride! This big boy is a 7 year old German Shepard who has never had a professional groom! Yep… you heard that right. Handling a 90+ lb. dog who is not familiar with the grooming process and thinks you’re out to get him is no easy task. Add impacted coat and you have a CRAY-ZEEEEEE day ahead of you. Luckily, we all survived and we even got kisses when all was done. Max, you were a trooper! And now… I’m going to take a nap 😴

TRANSFORMATION OF THE WEEK: Meet Waylon. Side note… coolest name! As dog groomers, we always love when we hear a unique dog name. Waylon is a 9 month old doodle that has never been groomed and he came to us in pretty rough shape. There was no choice but to VERY CAREFULLY remove all his hair. With matting like this, the hair pulls on the skin often limiting circulation. Shaving this off quickly, can result in bruising when the blood rushes back to that area. Sometimes it cannot be avoided, but if we work slowly and gently, it can reduce the outcome. Lucky for Waylon, there was no bruising to his skin when we were done. He was the bestest boy! And left so clean and happy. We can’t wait to see him again. I wish I captured the lucks I was getting during his blow dry. “Thank you” kisses!

Are you a walk-in nail trim regular? Then this is for you!! New punch cards… and the 9th trim is on the house!!
Did you know that regular nail trims are important for your dog’s joints and posture, pain prevention and proper traction just to name a few benefits. Walk-in nail trims are typically available Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Fridays/Saturdays. Hours change based on how busy our day is. Call 973-335-5843. If we are open the outgoing voicemail will let you know if we are available for nail trims and the window of time we are accommodating.
