Found kittens? Here’s what to know before you step in

Seeing kittens alone can be scary, but most of the time, mom is nearby and will come back. She’s likely just out looking for food.

As hard as it is, the best thing you can do is give her space and watch from a distance. Too much activity (from people or pets) can actually scare her off and keep her from returning.

If she comes back, that’s the best case. Let her keep caring for them until they’re old enough.

Once kittens are weaned (around 8 weeks), we can step in to help the whole family through TNR (trap-neuter-return), which prevents future litters and supports healthier community cats.

If the kittens are clearly sick, injured, or in immediate danger, that’s when it’s time to help. If mom doesn’t come back after an extended period, they may need intervention.

When you’re not sure what to do, it’s always okay to ask first. Keeping families together whenever possible really does make a difference 💜

🧺🐾 We Need Your Help to Keep Surgeries Running 🐾🧺

Right now, our clinic is facing a big challenge — our commercial washer and dryer are no longer working. 💔

These machines are a vital part of our daily operations. They run all day, every day cleaning surgical towels, blankets, and recovery bedding that keep pets safe, comfortable, and cared for during and after surgery.

Without them, it becomes much harder to keep up with the lifesaving spay and neuter services our community depends on.

Every single surgery requires clean materials.
No washer and dryer = fewer surgeries we can safely perform.
