All dogs are completely vetted and socialized in hopes of finding forever homes. The Lucky Puppy Rescue is located on a 125 acre family farm in Bonifay, Florida. When new rescue dogs are brought in they are welcomed and cared for in a clean and secure kennel. Our Great Beginnings adoption center is a 15 acre property in Argyle, NY. Days begin in FL with an early morning walk through a combination

of woods and pasture and trails. The dogs have ample opportunity for exercise and quite often complete these walks with a splash and swim in the pond. There are lots of chances for quiet naps throughout the day. Usually before doggie dinner is served there is another long walk about the farm to finish off the day. Founder, Teri Mattson will tell you that when she is walking with the pack and watching them play, she often feels that she is the "Lucky" one in this rescue!

Earlier this year, Belinda delivered her babies on a kind stranger's front porch. Thankfully, the homeowner was able to keep them safe until Lucky Puppy Rescue could bring the family into our care.

At Lucky Puppy, no one gets left behind! We believe in rescuing the whole family, which means helping mom right alongside her puppies. That's exactly what we did for Belinda.

Belinda raised her five beautiful puppies at our rescue in Bonifay, Florida, giving them all the love and care a mother could. Last week, she and her babies arrived at our New York adoption center, ready to find their forever homes.

Belinda's foster mom describes her as super sweet, gentle, and kind. She enjoys walks and loves spending time just hanging out with you. This beautiful girl has a playful personality, loves to get brushed, and gets excited for her meals! She is house trained, plays well with other dogs, and is cat friendly.

Belinda is a dream of a dog. After spending months caring for her puppies, she is ready to find the family she's been waiting for. Someone who chooses her. โค๏ธ

Sweet Sidra is now the last puppy from her litter still waiting for a home. Since arriving in March, she has patiently watched her siblings find their forever families, and volunteers and staff simply canโ€™t understand why this lovable girl is still here!
At just 5.5 months old, Sidra is as sweet, friendly, and affectionate as they come. She loves people (especially children), enjoys making new friends, and is always ready to share her happy personality with everyone she meets.โค๏ธ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿถ

Have you ever met a grouchy a$$ person involved in rescue or shelter work? Someone that is hot and tired and foul mouthed? You look at them and wonder if they even have a heart or soul? The answer is yes ... they do ... but it is a broken heart and a crushed soul that they are surviving with while still trying hard to save and improve the lives of animals.

This dog ... probably some "doodle" type DNA ... was probably created on purpose ... bred to make a few bucks. He was probably an ADORABLE scruffy puppy! Absolutely adorable.

Not sure what happened, but this young fella was literally left behind with the trash. Literally ... we have brought him and his golden doodle looking momma dog into rescue so that they can start their lives over ... AFTER being vaccinated and sterilized.
