Real talk, sometimes owning a farm is just hard. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for these animals and a blown water pump is no different. Thank you to our neighbors for letting us fill up water jugs to ensure that our horses continue to have water.

Seeing Banjo and Alto share some water this morning makes it worth it.

But really plumber has been called.

What do you do before going on a business trip?!

If you’re Josh you go on a walk on the trails and bring the chain saw. We cleaned up the trails some and made a new jump! We are up to 5 jumps on the trails:)

Willow has been at FHF for just about two weeks and she has settled into the life on the track. She is still finding her place in the herd and has made a friend with Sunny.

Every integration is slightly different and offers insight about the horse and the herd. Willow has been turned out in a herd before, though has never lived outside 24/7 in a herd. She was use to having her own time with feeding and at night. The initial integration went great, though when dinner time came the dynamic changed. For a few days I gave her space to eat and decompress by herself over night, while still being out with the herd during the day. She started to settle more and understand the routine and she has been with the herd 24/7 for about a week.

The herd continues to remind me that they are resilient and know more than I do about their dynamic. I also have to remind myself that though I’ve had two track systems for 9 year, this is the first time that the track has been joined and we’ve had a herd of 6.

Today Allison Beth Charney trimmed most of the herd today. Willow had her first trim with her on the farm and did great, very relaxed and calm.

Puppers Soka, Kingsley, and Alfie practiced settling and hung out with all of us.

Aaaaand Franklin supervised!

Chiropractic day on the farm! Dr. Flint worked on Sprite and Gus,
both did really well and enjoyed their adjustments. Gus was definitely hamming it up and Franklin came out to supervise!

Life is full of “awe” moments when you see through the eyes of wonder.

Katie Gagnon had a field trip at the barn today and sent me these photos. I love the smiles and pure joy on their faces. Gus even looks like he made a friend💕

All too often I find I’m working on projects, fixing something, and all the adulting that I forget to stop and remember this is my dream!

I received several questions about the video yesterday and the expansion of our track. You can see in the photo our farm, track, indoor, outdoor, and round pen. The red area is the area the woodland track will be setup and the yellow is what we did yesterday:) Lots of work todo, though seeing progress on the dream I once thought was just that, a dream.

Thank you all for following our journey and I look forward to continue to share with you.

Yes?! Can’t you see I’m watching the farm!

Soka loves sitting on the ramp and looking over the her farm. Buca use todo the same, though he always had a judgmental tone being a Shiba Inu lol

Fall has arrived and it’s beautiful, my favorite season.
