Got Kittens? Don’t Wait! Kitten season is here . . . act early.
If you find kittens — or know you’ve got a pregnant cat hanging around — we can help you foster-in-place right from the start. Early planning means we can provide supplies, keep kittens healthier, and avoid the overwhelm that happens when people wait until litters are almost grown to call us.
Polk County Humane Society has been awarded a $2,000 grant from the Petfinder Foundation to support our Foster Program this spring! This funding covers critical medical supplies like vaccinations, medications, and diagnostic tests. With this grant, we can foster 100 more kittens this year.
But we still need YOU and we need donations. To keep these babies fed, clean, and growing strong, we rely on donated items like food, litter, and cleaning supplies.
See our Kitten Wishlist for specific items:

And if you’re willing to foster kittens in your home until they’re 8 weeks old and over 2 lbs, we’ll provide the food, supplies and support you need.
Your home + our resources = more lives saved.
Thank you, Petfinder Foundation , for helping us prepare for the tiniest arrivals of spring — and thank you, community, for stepping up before the kittens arrive on our doorstep.
