A little puppy told us that it's Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week! We want to take a moment to thank the wonderful staff at the vet clinics here in town that help us out BIG every week! 🐕‍🦺🧑‍🔬

This year alone, our local vet clinics have spayed and neutered over 900+ animals for us! That's 900+ animals that are happier, healthier, and on the road to finding their forever homes.

We also want to give a big shoutout to one veterinary technician that goes above and beyond for PCHS and that is Angela Jensen! 👏

Angela, we are so appreciative of the 24/7 support and love you give our shelter. She is there for the animals every day. We would be lost without you! Who else would we send concerned p**p pictures to? 😆

So from all the animals, staff, and board of PCHS-thank you veterinary professionals!!

The "More" Situation Has Escalated.

We asked for help with adoptions so we could make room to save more puppies. And, now ... the more keep coming.

This Saturday, we'll have 8 LITTERS of puppies hoping to find their forever homes at the Adopt Joy/National Adoption Week events at the PetSmart locations in Springfield and Rolla.

This little guy? He's just a sneak peek.

Despite a rough start in life, he's grown into a feisty little charmer with a heart full of love. He's one of many adorable puppies who will be looking for families this weekend.

Every adoption helps us make room for the next puppy who needs a safe place to land.

Join us at the PetSmart on Glenstone in Springfield and at the PetSmart in Rolla, Saturday, October 24, 2026, 10a-2p.

Save the date, bring the family, and prepare to meet a bunch of puppies. We'll post the full lineup later this week!

October is National Pit Bull Awarness Month so we wanted to showcase all our wonderful and loyal Pittie mixes! 🐶

These dogs all have individual charm, personality, and love to share with an adopter. Some have been here for a while and have been patiently waiting YEARS to find their forever homes. 💔

Despite the common myths, these block headed sweethearts are full of love, goofiness, and endless affection.

Help us break the stigma, share this post, and give a deserving bully mix the chance to show you what true loyalty looks like!
