Hardeman Adoptable Animals, INC Hardeman Adoptable Animals (HAA) rescues dogs from Hardeman County through our 100% volunteer organization. Our shelter at 315 Clifft Rd.

is managed by dedicated volunteers, and provides a safe haven. hardemanadoptableanimals.org HAA (Hardeman Adoptable Animals) is a dedicated group of volunteers on a mission to rescue abandoned, stray, and unwanted dogs and cats in Hardeman County. Our process involves moving these animals to our shelter, where we conduct thorough evaluations and provide necessary veterinary care. In cases requirin

g additional attention, we ensure they are examined by a veterinarian. The dogs we take in come from various backgrounds – they could be strays, owner surrenders, or breeder throwaways. Our primary goal is to shield these dogs from a hard death from starvation, disease and/or injury and offer them a chance for a better life. Once at our shelter, they become part of our list of available, adoptable dogs. We take pride in finding suitable homes for our furry friends, either through direct adoptions or by collaborating with rescue groups that specialize in placing animals. It's important to note that, more often than not, we are unaware of the history of the dogs we rescue. Despite this, we are committed to giving them a second chance and ensuring their well-being. Your support enables us to continue this vital work and make a positive impact in the lives of these animals. 🐾💙

BREAKING NEWS:
HAA volunteers have officially lost it.

We bought sunglasses.
We bought leis.
We bought grass skirts.
We bought beach balls.
We turned the shelter into a tropical resort and honestly… the dogs are loving it.

Why?
Because we’re launching our Summer Foster Program, and nothing says “take me home for a few weeks” like a dog dressed for a summer paw-ty.

But behind the silliness is the real deal:
Fostering helps our dogs get tagged by rescues MUCH faster. They decompress from kennel life, and we get a tiny break from the daily grind.

So if you’re wondering what on earth these videos are — it’s simple.
We’re trying to get our dogs into homes for the summer.

Want to help?
Say “FOSTER” below and we’ll send you everything you need.

😊 RESCUED! 😊
Meet Bronx — the One‑Year‑Old Black Lab Who Thinks Every Day Is a Good Day ⭐

Bronx is the definition of a happy, playful Lab — the kind of dog who wakes up every morning convinced that life is wonderful and people are his favorite part of it. At just a year old, he’s got that perfect mix of puppy joy and growing‑up smarts.

🐾 The Basics

• 1 year old
• Black Labrador Retriever
• Great with other dogs
• Loves every person he meets
• Playful, social, and full of sunshine

🎉 Personality

Bronx is a classic Lab through and through — wiggly, friendly, curious, and always ready for fun. He’s the dog who trots over with a big smile, tail wagging like a metronome set to “happy.” Whether he’s romping with dog friends or soaking up attention from people, he brings an easy, joyful energy to every moment.

🐕 Dog-Friendly Superstar

Bronx plays beautifully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine buddy or regular playdates. He reads other dogs well and adjusts his energy to match.

💛 Why You’ll Love Him

If you’re looking for a dog who:

• Makes you laugh
• Loves everyone
• Plays hard and naps harder
• Brings that classic Lab sweetness into your home

…then Bronx is your boy.

He’s ready for adventures, ready for cuddles, and ready to be someone’s best friend.

EDIT - Y’ALL DID IT.
We asked for a little push to get past 7,600 followers… and this community said “hold my beer.”

We’re sitting at 7,602 and climbing — and every single one of you helps our animals get SEEN.
More eyes = more shares = more adoptions.

Thank you for showing up for the dogs.

Pete got his favorite treat today — hose time.
We did it just for him, because he loves it and because he deserved a moment that was nothing but joy.

And here’s the truth about Pete:
He’s already proven he can thrive in a home. One of our volunteers fostered him for a while, and he was wonderful — settled, happy, easy to live with.
Shelter life is what wears him down. It’s loud, it’s stressful, and it’s not where a dog like him belongs.

He’s been great at adoption events.
He rode on our Christmas parade float like a seasoned professional.
He shines every single time we put him in a real‑world situation.

Pete isn’t a project. He isn’t a maybe.
He’s a good dog who needs a real home — and he deserves one.

He’s ready. Truly ready.
Let’s go.

Meet Paw Newman — the four‑legged leading man ready for his big break.

He’s a 2 year old German Shepherd who’s Heartworm Negative!

He’s got the looks.
He’s got the charisma.
He’s got the “I’ll be loyal to you for life” energy that even Paul Newman himself would applaud.

Honestly, with that smile and charm, we’re pretty sure he could sell salad dressing too.

Paw Newman is handsome, gentle, and waiting for his forever co‑star.
If you’ve been searching for a dog with movie‑star presence and a heart of gold… this is your guy.

Come meet him at Hardeman Adoptable Animals. You’re sure to fall in love.

Meet Copper — our resident cat‑dog.
Independent. A little aloof. A master of the side‑eye of quiet judgment.

He’ll sit near you, not on you.
He’ll accept treats politely, like he’s doing you a favor.
He’ll watch your life choices from across the room and absolutely has opinions.

Not big on snuggling. Not into slobbery kisses.
But sweet, gentle, smart, and loyal in his own understated way.

If you want a low‑maintenance companion who respects boundaries and silently judges you with love…
Copper is your guy.

Adopt Copper — the dog for people who secretly want a cat.

☀️ We need SUMMER FOSTERS — right now.

School’s out. Routines slow down. Families are home more.
But our shelter? It’s full of great dogs.

Summer is the perfect time to give a dog a much‑needed break from the shelter — a chance to breathe, reset, and enjoy normal life for a little while. Even a weekend or a week makes a real difference.

And yes… we dressed Vincent in a hot‑dog costume today.
Because he is READY for backyard cookouts, sunshine, and being part of someone’s summer instead of another day in a kennel.

He’s the kind of dog who would thrive with:
• kids home for summer break
• ball‑throwing in the yard
• slow evening walks
• sunshine naps
• and a family who wants a buddy for the season

Our dogs don’t need a vacation trip —
they just need a summer break from shelter life.

If you’ve got room in your home this summer, fostering saves lives.
And Vincent is packed, dressed, and absolutely ready for his turn.

Send us a message to get matched with your HAA Summer Buddy.

Some dogs wait politely at their kennel door.
Little Dan?
He decided gravity was optional.

Yesterday he climbed halfway up the wall like he was auditioning for American Ninja Warrior: Shelter Edition.

He says he’s “not trying to escape,” he’s simply “surveying his kingdom from a higher vantage point.”
We have no comment.

Little Dan is available for adoption to anyone who appreciates:
• athleticism
• ambition
• questionable decision‑making
• and a dog who believes he could absolutely take a squirrel if he could just get a little closer to the ceiling

Come meet our resident wall‑climber before he discovers how to rappel.
