So much work is put into early crate exposure and training here! Pups are in crates from the moment their eyes open and by the time they leave us, they’ve formed a positive association with the crate. Families often report that crate training is a breeze when they bring their new pups home- it’s not luck but intentional early work!

A great morning to pick up some trash! We joined Idahos adopt a highway program last year and give back to our local community by cleaning up a stretch of our highway! I was surprised by the lack of litter ( yay) and only managed to fill half a bag.

✨ Our 2026 litters ✨

🌸 It’s been a hectic spring with our show schedule and a few plans falling out of place but here are the three breedings we will see in 2026, ALL THREE litters are now fully reserved but we are taking back up names in the event there are more pups than expected!

🤍Tikka x Scout- due in June: originally we had plans to ship semen from a boy across the country but our spring show schedule has exploded and we’ve pivoted to Scout, owned by . This litter is expected to produce medium drive and energy level dogs who will be well suited to versatile and active families with the potential for sport and service work.

💛Birdie x Cooper- due in June: Birdies retirement litter will be to Cooper, owned by our friends . This litter is expected to produce lower energy/ drive dogs well suited to family homes with the potential for therapy and service work.

🧡Kimber x Scout- 🍁Fall 2026 🍁 This will be Kimber’s retirement litter and a repeat breeding to Scout as their first litter only gave us three pups. Scout and Kimber should produce medium energy/ drive levels in smaller sized dogs best suited to active family homes, sport and service work.

We’re excited to close out the year with these wonderful pairings as we begin to transition our program and retire our girls and move things in a different direction. I’ll share more shortly about our plans into 2027, so stay tuned!

Our very first AKC show is in the books!

Haven and Oak debuted this weekend at the Lizard Butte show in our neck of the woods. What an incredible experience this was! Haven showed beautifully, even though we have a lot of room for improvement and some kinks to work out. Haven took third in her class and little Oak won his breed and group in his first ever puppy show! It was such a honor to share the ring with some incredible dogs, owners and breeders I’ve admired for years.

As a newbie in this sport I am incredibly grateful to the kind and patient judges we showed under this weekend who took the time to help us, offer tips, and give us grace! They say the sport of conformation is dying, partly due to the culture and the competitive nature of AKC, but I can honestly say we experienced some of the kindest, most helpful and supportive folks this community has to offer. It truly made the experience enjoyable and I cannot wait to continue this journey with Haven and the folks who made the weeknd an unforgettable one!

Magnolia, our up and coming female has officially added a new set of letters to her name! We attended the Golden Retriever Regional Specialty in Bakersfield CA this past weekend, where Maggie earned her Certificate of Conformation Assessment title ( CCA). This is a golden retriever specific title program hosted by our breed club where each dog is individually judged against the written standard.

This was probably the most valuable thing I have done with one of my girls and the in depth hands on evaluations by three different esteemed judges was such a fun way to learn new things about not only the breed but my individual dog. The GRCA states that the CCA is,“ an educational gateway for everyone to reflect on the written description of what is “ideal” for this incredible breed, the essence of a Golden Retriever, that is timeless, without prejudice and not subject to changing fashion or popular style.“

What a wealth of knowledge we had the opportunity to tap into and what a cool learning experience it was to meet and talk dogs with some incredible breeders who have poured their heart and souls into bettering this breed.

Love that the .r.c.a offers such a unique title program!

2026 is going to be an exciting year, to kick it off our next planned litter will be Tikka X Obie this coming spring/ summer! We are super excited for this one and beyond grateful to be able to use Obie as a stud.

This will be a lovely breeding bringing both beauty and brains to the table, we aim to produce healthy, well-rounded, stable minded, confident dogs who have correct structure, more substance and coat length as well as natural talent and ability to go in any direction. Tikka and Obie have a combined pedigree COI of 0.74%, which adds some much needed genetic diversity to the breed. I couldn’t be more excited to see this plan come to fruition and I’ll definitely be sharing more about our AI journey when Tikka cycles in a couple months.

Puppy yoga classes are where dreams come true! 🧘‍♀️🤍

Our Girl Power litter joined their puppy yoga classes hosted by in Boise, ID, and tore it up! Puppy chaos at it finest and I can’t wait to see the incredible pictures captured by !

Stay tuned for the dates of our next puppy yoga classes, our Songbird litter ( R***r x Birdie) will be joining our co-bred Stranger Things litter( Skye x Tater) for a January class in the Boise area!
