🍫🎃 WEEK 3: PET POISON PREVENTION! 🐾☠️

Trick or treat? Your pet doesn't know the difference! 😂

From Halloween candy to household chemicals, our furry little troublemakers have a talent for getting into things they REALLY shouldn't!

It's Week 3 of SNARF's Pet Safety & Prevention Month, and we're exposing some spooky hazards hiding in plain sight! 👻

🍫 Chocolate: Delicious for us, toxic to dogs and cats!

🍬 Xylitol: This sugar substitute (also called birch sugar) is found in some sugar-free gums, candies, and peanut butters. Extremely dangerous for dogs!

💊 Medications: Human medications can be deadly to pets. Keep those pill bottles secured!

🍄 Wild Mushrooms: Some are highly toxic. Don't let your pet sample the backyard buffet!

🚗 Antifreeze: Even small amounts can be deadly. Clean up spills immediately!

🐀 Rodenticides: Rat and mouse poisons can cause serious poisoning. Keep pets away from bait and poisoned rodents.

🧴 Other Sneaky Hazards: Cleaning supplies, certain plants, essential oils, and seasonal decorations can also pose risks.

🚨 THINK YOUR PET ATE SOMETHING TOXIC?

Don't wait for symptoms! Contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately. You can also call ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 (fees may apply). Don't induce vomiting unless a veterinary professional tells you to.

🐾 SNARF SAFETY TIP: Get down to your pet's eye level and look around your home. You might be surprised what those curious noses can find! 😂

🎃 Keep the candy for the humans and the treats pet-friendly!

❤️ No tricks—just tips for keeping your pets safe!

📣 PLEASE SHARE! You might help prevent a pet emergency!
