Why get a cornsnake that is a year old vs a hatchling baby?
Yes, the cost is a bit more than getting a hatchling, and the benefits are significant!
A yearling is much more established with its feeding habits, much calmer than a hatchling, and eats only once a week vs twice a week!

There is no feeling of apprehension quite like getting the MBKs out of brumation for their first feeding and bedding changes.
