Meet Honey, a beautiful 5-year-old spayed sweetheart who has been staying with us at the Cozy Cat Resort while waiting for her forever home. We have absolutely adored having her here! ❤️ Honey is now heading to the shelter, where she’ll have the opportunity to get more exposure and hopefully find the loving home she deserves. While we’ll miss having her as part of our Cozy Cat family, we’re excited for her next chapter and would love to welcome her back for boarding anytime!
Honey is a total people cat! She’s an outgoing, affectionate girl who loves snuggles, welcomes guests and friends with open paws, and would happily follow her favorite person wherever they go. Call her name, and she may come running from across the room! One of her favorite things to do at the resort is climb right into our laps while we’re working at the computer. She just wants to be where the people are! 🥰
This smart girl has plenty of personality and loves keeping her mind busy. Her previous owner clicker-trained her, and she learned cues like “sit,” “touch,” and “place,” where she would sit on a mat and wait. Although she hasn’t practiced in a while, she loved learning! Honey also enjoyed leash adventures when she was younger, exploring the park on a long leash. Add in her love of cat puzzles, playtime, exploring, and climbing cat trees, and you’ve got one fun, engaging companion!
Honey knows what she likes and isn’t shy about communicating her feelings. She can get overstimulated sometimes, but she’s easy to read when you pay attention to her body language. Give her a little space when she needs it, and she bounces right back. She does best when her boundaries are respected and she has room to be herself.
Her ideal home would be one where she can be the only cat and soak up all the love and attention for herself. She has gotten along with larger dogs, but she prefers they respect her personal space rather than constantly getting into her bubble. Honey is litter-box trained and will need a high-sided litter box to accommodate her unique bathroom habits.

Honey has brought so much joy to our time at the Cozy Cat Resort. From lap cuddles during computer work to her playful antics and big, outgoing personality, she has made herself very easy to love. We’re rooting for this special girl as she takes the next step toward finding her forever family.
