Sometimes just one training session can make a difference… yesterday I had an appointment with a dog who had never went on a walk in his life. He would just freeze and plop down on the ground putting his brakes on. He wouldn’t even leave the yard. We did some work with the dog and owner and the dog happily went on a walk down the street and back. Today I got this message.

“Dan,
Well, “my dog” did it😊. I got a new lead more like yours, thinking no association to the former lead. I put it on him as I headed to the back yard WITH treats. He trotted right along and after a few turn arounds I went out the gate and took him to the mail box and back home. He’s more interested in the treats but for now I think that’s okay. I kept it short today but will keep at it.

Rogue and Luna!

Luna went on a walk this morning with Dog Trainer Dan and his dog Rogue.

Luna was so excited when she saw Rogue because she thought they were going to run and play. It didn't take her too long to realize no playing today, just a nice walk around the park to get to know each other.

There will be a play date in their future very soon.🙂

Luna is available for foster or adoption at www.takemehomedogrescue.org She appears to be a husky/malamute mix. She weighs 56lbs. Spayed. Vaccinated. Microchipped. Dog friendly. People friendly. Unknown on cats. House trained. Rides great in the car. Pulls on leash at first with excitement but does settle down.
