What an incredible week at the 2026 Giant Schnauzer Club of America National Specialty, Midwest Regional, and Western Regional! 🐾❤️
After a very busy and exciting week, I’m finally home, getting some much-needed rest and reflecting on what an amazing experience it was!
One of the highlights of the week was bringing back the Giant Schnauzer Invitational Gala! This special evening celebrated the Top 10 Giant Schnauzers from 2025 in both Breed and Owner-Handled rankings. It was wonderful to bring this event back and recognize some of the outstanding dogs and people in our breed.
The Invitational Gala was proudly sponsored by Down Low Kennels and The Quincy Group. A huge thank you to our major sponsors, whose generosity and support made this event possible!
The National Specialty, Midwest Regional, and Western Regional were all incredible events! A special thank you to Kathy Seaman for chairing the Western Regional and helping make it such a wonderful part of the week.
None of these events would have been possible without the MANY volunteers, committee chairs, and individuals who stepped up and worked tirelessly behind the scenes. From planning and preparation to making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the week, it truly takes a village. I cannot thank everyone enough for their time, dedication, and willingness to help!
It was truly an honor to serve as the 2026 GSCA National Show Chair, as well as chair our Midwest Regional. The past year has been filled with countless hours of planning, and seeing everything come together was incredibly rewarding.
Congratulations to all of our winners, including our Invitational Gala winners! I hope everyone went home with wonderful memories, new friendships, and an even greater appreciation for this amazing breed.
At the end of the day, this is what our National Specialty should be about bringing people together, celebrating our dogs, and sharing our love for the Giant Schnauzer.
