HoofTalk

HoofTalk Online learning center for proper horseshoeing and healthy hoof care backed by nearly 50 years of ex Our philosophy at HoofTalk Inc.

has always been to go barefoot with your horse, mule or donkey whenever possible, practical or functionally safe. However, shoes with flexibility and support are the only things we've found over the years that will ensure the growth of the best hoof genetically possible. The healthy HoofTalk techniques and Health Horseshoes have the ability to grow an entirely new hoof on any horse in less than 8

months. The HoofTalk natural trim has uniue parameters for front to back and side-to-side positioning of a hoof capsule beneath the bone column. The end goal is to establish and maintain straight hairlines that represent even dissipation of concussion, allowing even bllood flow to the entire digit, which generates a natural, healthy hoof. Owners must learn to palpate a hairline to feel the softness, which assures a healthy blood supply in and out of the foot.

This right front hoof has white line disease and the outer wall of the infected area was removed and a scarlet ointment was applied! It is a preference of mine to call this termite disease rather than white line.

At first glance, the hairline on the right front foot looks absolutely gorgeous! Then consider the fact that the toe appears a bit long and a little bit forward of the position of a natural hoof! A close inspection of the hairline in toe area will reveal the flat area
in the center portion of the hoof wall because of loading caused by the concussive forces!
