Anda and Nita didn’t exactly have the luck of the draw when it came to cattle, but I think they gave the state fair the best shot they could!

For Nita’s first cattle trial back from 6 surgeries she finished both days, but didn’t get full points. We struggled with the last obstacle the first day by only getting one through, and left one calf behind that was taking her today. Not too bad for an old lady with a fixed bum leg!

Anda’s first cattle trial she didn’t do too shabby, and almost made it through the course. She has some things to improve on, but for her first time out and only second time working off of our place I was supper proud of her!

Last practice runs before state fair! 🎡We are very grateful to Sheila for letting us borrow her box for this trial!

Breeding season is upon us, and that mean we need to re introduce our rams!

We are super excited about the line up of rams that we have this year. Willis is back to give that pretty edge to all of his lambs, and this will be the first lamb crop out of Louie and Earl. We look forward to see what they put into their lambs!

Lastly, we can't forget out Babydoll Southdown Ram GROOT! He has a group of ladies of his own, and has proven himself time and time again in the breeding pen.

Be on the lookout for us this coming year!

👏 Give a big round of applause for Jori and her ewe lamb! 👏

Jori and her family worked hard this summer and came away with Champion Yearling Ewe at the York County Fair. They sure picked a good one to take back to their breeding herd!
