Welcome Danny and Jimmy🐾

Today, two dogs, Danny and Jimmy, arrived in our care through an animal control case after the owner was unexpectedly hospitalized.

While situations like this can be stressful and confusing for pets, our team is making sure these boys have a safe place to stay, plenty of care, and lots of love while their owner recovers.

Please keep Danny, Jimmy, and their owner in your thoughts during this difficult time. We will share updates as appropriate.

Due to the continued influx of animals entering our doors, we are once again running dangerously low on some of our most-needed supplies.

We are urgently in need of:

Pedigree Chopped Ground Dinner with Chicken (Pâté)
Pedigree Choice Cuts in Gravy with Beef
Cat Chow Dry Cat Food (blue bag)
Clumping Cat Litter

Animal Charity of Ohio receives no local, federal, or state funding. We survive solely because of the generosity of our community. With 135 animals entering our doors in May alone, our resources are being stretched thin, and these supplies are disappearing faster than we can replace them.

Every bag of food, every can, and every container of litter helps us provide care, comfort, and nutrition to the animals who depend on us every day.

☀️ SUMMER PET TIP OF THE WEEK

Did you know that pavement can be much hotter than the air temperature?

Before walking your dog, place the back of your hand(or bare foot) on the pavement for 7 seconds. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!

• Walk during cooler morning or evening hours
• Always provide fresh water
• Watch for signs of overheating
• Never leave pets unattended in a vehicle

Let’s help keep pets safe and comfortable all summer long!
