years of experience in the horse business. He has managed and provided expertise with stallions, broodmares, mating suggestions, color genetics, pedigree knowledge, and directing private sales. JD loves to be with the horses and have "hands on" involvement. He will be able to help you make a good decision regarding our horses. Over the past 100 years Lauing Ranch has earned their reputation for honesty, integrity, profitability, ingenuity, horsemanship, and hard work.

The entire LAUING RANCH family was blessed by BL Hancock Pat "COW GENT" a 2000 Sorrel mare born here at the ranch in South Dakota. She was sired by a Pitzer bred stallion, Billy Star Pat and out of BL Lauings Hancock. She passed earlier this year and over her 26 years produced 17 AQHA registered foals. We feel very fortunate that her legacy and the legacy of Billy Star Pat carries on through several daughters continuing to produce foals for us. Her legacy and the legacy of

BL Hancock Pat was one of our best producing mares, a daughter of Billy Star Pat out of a daughter of Pauletta Hancock and her grandsire, an AQHA Champion, Cow Gent. Intelligent and very pretty. Producing outstanding foals for Lauing Ranch that just have a presence about them that you just can't help but notice. Her foals have natural cow sense and athleticism, combined with good looks.
