Starting October 3, 2026, RDEC will be opening its doors once a month to offer Schooling Saturday, the Lowcountry’s newest opportunity to school a full course without the pressure and expense that comes with a horse show. Whether you have a green horse, an event you want to prepare for, or you are a rider that wants to practice in a ring that isn’t your own, Schooling Saturday is for you!
How it works:
Our covered ring will operate as a schooling ring where you will have the opportunity to warm up on the flat and over a jump before walking down to our outdoor ring where you will have two course options to choose from: Course A (Hunter Course) and Course B (Jumper/Eq Course). You will be allowed 4 trips per horse, regardless of height, and you can switch between courses each trip. We will offer a one-hour session per height, with heights ranging from crossrails – 1.20m. After you have finished, you will have the option to use our onsite amenities prior to your departure. Ship-ins are welcome, but if you would like to stall your horse overnight, arrangements can be made to have a stall available in our lower barn - please note that stalls are limited and must be reserved one week in advance.
