🎀✨ BREAKING IN THE SPECIAL PROCEDURES ROOM! ✨🎀

Little Miss Sky decided to give our brand-new special procedures room its first real test… by swallowing 18 INCHES of ribbon while her owner was wrapping a last-minute gift. 😳🎁

Because apparently, the gift she wanted most was the ribbon itself. 😂

Sky came to CVCC for some emergency intervention, and our team got to put our new space to work! After a little celebration-style drama, this sweet girl is on her way to putting this whole “ribbon incident” behind her. 💕🐾

We’re pretty sure this isn’t what anyone had in mind when they said “break in the new room”… but hey, we’re officially broken in! 🩺✨

✨ WHAT A FIRST DAY! ✨

Well, Lowcountry… we did it! 🥹💙

Our first day in our new home was a GREAT one! Was everything perfectly smooth? Not quite. 😉 We’re still working through a few kinks and getting used to our new space, systems, and flow — but after moving an entire emergency and critical care hospital, we expected there to be a few bumps along the way!

What matters most? We’re OPEN, our team is together, and we’re here for your pets. 🐾🏥

And we couldn’t have asked for a more fitting patient to officially kick off this new chapter…

Sugar is a true Carolina dog who came to see us after suffering an alligator bite to her leg.

Honestly… it doesn’t get much more Lowcountry than that! 😂🌴🐊

We’re so grateful to Sugar and her family for trusting us with her care and for giving us the perfect first-day story in our new home.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the heart behind her scholarship essay. Ashlyn wrote about the change she would like to see in emergency veterinary medicine for communities that don’t have access to emergency hospitals—a topic that hits especially close to home for us.

Emergency and critical care shouldn’t be a luxury that is only available to communities with a 24/7 hospital nearby. 💙 Delay Opening Announcement 🐾

Lowcountry community, we have a small but important change to our opening timeline.

Unfortunately, we’ve experienced some unexpected delays with our move into our new facility, and we will not be able to open Monday as originally planned.

Our team is working around the clock to get everything safely moved, set up, and ready to provide the level of emergency and critical care our community and your pets deserve.

🏥 Our anticipated opening is now Wednesday, September 16th.

We know many of you have been looking forward to having us back open, and we sincerely apologize for the additional delay and any inconvenience this may cause. We are just as eager as you are to open the doors to our new home!

We will continue to keep you updated as we receive more information and will let you know immediately if anything changes.
