🎉🐾 Welcome Theo to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾 🎉

Theo the Chihuahua just wrapped up his training, and this little guy exceeded my expectations. We worked on building better manners, impulse control, leash skills, and a solid obedience foundation—all while keeping that classic Chihuahua personality intact

🎉🐾 Welcome Leo to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾 🎉

Leo’s biggest challenge? Learning to mind his own business!

We worked on a solid recall, ignoring the cats when they get rowdy, and learning that delivery people, dogs, and random people on walks don’t require a full commentary.

A little more impulse control and a lot less involvement in everyone else’s business!

🎉🐾 Welcome Nala to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾 🎉

Nala was recently adopted and had a big adventure ahead—she was heading off to college with her mom! We worked on obedience, leash manners, and preparing her for a whole new environment.

Nala also had some fear reactivity toward other dogs and a little resource guarding to work through, so building confidence and teaching her how to handle those situations was a big part of her training.

She’s ready for her next chapter!

🎉🐾 Welcome Baker to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾 🎉

Baker came to me as a puppy, and now he’s back for his adult training! Coming from award-winning herding lines, Baker has plenty of natural drive and instinct. Our focus was channeling that drive while making sure he could handle all the distractions and demands of city life.

From herding instincts to everyday manners, Baker has come a long way!

🎉🐾 Welcome Sadie to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾 🎉

Sadie had already come a long way since being adopted, but she was still seriously lacking confidence. It took time for her to trust me, so we worked slowly and carefully, building her threshold without overwhelming her.

One of her biggest challenges? Stairs. We took it one step at a time, and she learned that she could do hard things without shutting down.

🎉🐾 Welcome Steve to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾 🎉

Steve came in needing some direction, and he was ready to work. We focused on obedience, confidence, and making better choices. His leash walking also improved tremendously.

He put in the work and made some great progress. Structure and consistency can change everything.

🎉🐾 Welcome Finn to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾 🎉

Finn came in as a busy Border Collie puppy with plenty of energy and a mind of his own. We worked on obedience, impulse control, focus, and learning how to settle. He made great progress and left with a solid foundation to build on as he grows!

🎉🐾 Welcome Jett and Sky to the Ridgeside K9 family!🐾 🎉

Brother-sister duos can go one of two ways… and these two definitely started on the wild side!

They were so used to feeding off each other that listening to anything else wasn’t really on their radar. Once we added some structure and helped them learn as individuals, everything started to click!

We worked on a lot of the same things but a recall was SUPER important for Jett. He loved to slip right out of the backyard fence and wander the neighborhood, stopping at every house to say hello. For Sky, taking things slow and building her confidence when she was on her own was key.

Now they can hang out together and work separately, stay engaged, and actually hear their humans.

(Honorable mention to Bryce, their 12 year old brother who has never had a day of training but quickly joined in!!)
