City of North Kansas City Animal Shelter reached out for help with Pepper. Pepper is very shy and unsure right now, but gentle. He is significantly overweight, and needs someone committed to helping him get back into a healthy weight range. Pepper currently weight around 35 pound, and really should weigh between 20-25 pounds. He is currently so scared he isn’t eating. Pepper is yet another victim of loosing his owner, and next of kin no longer being able to care for him.

A guy was recently kicked out of his apartment. He left behind a female 2 year old corgi/miniature pinscher, because she chewed up a $200 pair of boots. The guy told the apartment manager “it was their problem to get it a home now.”😭 Another living being disposed of like trash. Living things aren’t perfect. They are organic and learn expected behaviors, but not if someone doesn’t take the time to teach them. How can an animal do better, if it doesn’t know how?

Poor little Wesley was dumped in a rural area. An elderly lady found him, and is keeping him safe off the street, but isn’t able to care for him long term. Wesley is a 10 years old Chihuahua mix, and deserves to be loved unconditionally. He has done well with cats and dogs in the short time he has been around them.

Three little babies released from a breeder. The Yorkies (one male, one female), because they have hernias that need to be repaired, and the Shih Tzu (male) because he has a vaccine ‘knot.’ Looks more like that knot turned into an abscess.😞 They need foster, as the shelter is no place for a tiny puppy. These babies were all released from a breeder. I cannot even imagine how large of an operation it must have been to have so many different breeds.😭 Each baby needs a foster or foster to adopt home. Please u sweat and if you decide to foster a breeder release dog, they are typically very shut down. You are not fostering a dog, but the shell of a dog that’s left after their soul and instincts have been sucked out of them. They need a lot of patience. They need to learn how to be a dog. They’ve never touched grass, played with a toy, had a dog bed, or had positive attention from humans.

Fosters can live on either side of state line, but must live within an hour of Blue Springs, MO. Foster needs to be able to pick up between 6 pm-7 pm on Friday June 5th. Fosters can adopt the animal they are fostering if they fall in love, but it certainly isn’t expected.

Max and Nora- 1 year old shepherd mixes from the same home, surrendered to a shelter, with no known reason why. They are not bonded, so do not need to stay together. Their estimated weight is between 35-40 pounds each. Have shown to do well with dogs and cats.

Melody is recovering nicely from her enucleation! She is no longer in intense pain from the glaucoma she had. She is a 1 year old dachshund/aussie mix, that weighs 25.6 pounds. She is ready for her forever home! she came in really shy, but has slowly been opening up in her foster home.

Teddy Too found himself at a shelter, and nobody knows why.😞 We are told he is a 1 year old Frenchie mix and is kennel, leash, and house trained. He loves to snuggle, is very loving, and good with other dogs. He does have puppy energy, so needs someone who has the time to play with him.
