Little Pene came in today for her spa day. Her pet Mom and Dad also came with her. They both wanted to learn ways that they can do some at-home grooming for Pene between her regular grooms. Pene is their first doodle and their sweet girl. Pene lives out in the country, so she can get into all sorts of things. Her pet parents worked hard to get most of them out(She played in the field and found all sorts of stickers). So we had a teaching day.
I love helping pet parents and showing them how to do some grooming. We went through everything from bathing and drying to how to get mats out safely, ear cleaning, brushing, and how to do a haircut if needed. Pene did pretty well, but sometimes when the pet parent is present, they act a little differently. That is okay, though; we worked as a team. Too many groomers do not take the time to help pet parents and teach them. I love doing it because it not only helps the fur kiddo but also the pet parent, can create great bonding experiences, and most of all, the fur kiddo is not afraid; they become comfortable with grooming.
She is all clean, soft, no stickers, and no mats. She is ready to show off her new look and pretty bows. It was funny after her groom and after putting on her bows, how she would just strut and wag her little tail. Have the most amazing day, sweet Pene!!!!
