🐾 Sage’s Road to Recovery! 🐱💙

Sage, a 3-year-old cat, was brought to us after being found outside with a history of unknown trauma. He was understandably painful, so we gave him pain medication and carefully sedated him so we could thoroughly assess his injuries.

X-rays revealed that Sage’s jaw was fractured in several places. Unfortunately, because of the location and severity of the fractures, the best treatment option was a rostral mandibulectomy—a surgical procedure that removes the front portion of the lower jaw (mandible).

Our team acted quickly, and Sage was taken directly into surgery. Thankfully, surgery was a success! 🎉 He recovered well from anesthesia and, best of all, he was eating that same evening! 🥰

At his recheck appointment, Sage was doing so well that he was cleared to have his cone removed and slowly reintroduce kibble into his diet. He is now pain-free, happy, and back to being his sweet self! 💙🐾

We’re so proud of Sage and thrilled with how well he has recovered. Thank you to his family for trusting us with his care. 💙🐾
