🐾 Oh, What a Maze! So Many Cones! 🐾

Cones, cones everywhere! We had to sit, go slow, try a down, and even put our paws up! 🐶🔺 What a fun way to challenge our pups and their humans!

Having fun while learning is such a wonderful way to build communication, teamwork, and that special bond we share with our dogs. ❤️

A big THANK YOU to our DOG Club friends for being willing to try something new and jump right into the fun! You never know what adventure awaits next with this crew. One thing is for sure… it’s always one adventure after another with our DOG Club! 🐕🎉

Two milestones, one amazing group of dogs! 🎓🐾

Congratulations to our recent OB 1.0 graduates and our pups who are exploring something new in Agility! 🐕🎉

From building everyday manners and good listening skills to trying new challenges and navigating agility obstacles, these dogs are learning that training can be both rewarding and FUN! 🧡

We’re so proud of these pups and their people for continuing to learn, grow, and strengthen their bond. The best part? They’re just getting started! 🐾

🐾 Dogs have been walking beside people on this continent for more than 10,000 years.

On National Native American Day, we’re taking a moment to recognize a piece of DOG history that many people may not know.

Long before modern dog training, dog sports or even many of the breeds we recognize today, dogs lived and worked alongside Indigenous peoples throughout North America.

They served as companions, hunting partners, working animals and transportation. Some Native communities even carefully developed their own distinct populations of dogs.

One incredible example is the Coast Salish woolly dog. For thousands of years, these dogs were carefully raised for their soft coats, which were used to create yarn for beautiful woven textiles.

Different cultures. Different roles. But one relationship has endured for thousands of years:

People and DOGs, side by side. 🐾

Today we honor the history, cultures and contributions of Native American people and Tribal Nations.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we wanted to share a couple of ways our All Things DOG community can show support.

**WALK WHERE YOU ARE — October 24**

Susan G. Komen's "MORE THAN PINK Walk – Walk Where You Are" gives you the opportunity to participate wherever you are. Choose your own route, grab your favorite walking buddy, and get moving in support of those affected by breast cancer.

🐶 And yes… we think your dog makes a pretty great walking buddy.

💗 **LOOKING FOR LOCAL SUPPORT?**

We also want to introduce you to "Cancer Action", a Kansas City-area nonprofit that has been helping people living with cancer and their families for more than 60 years.

With an office right here in Independence, Cancer Action provides practical, emotional and financial support to local cancer patients — including assistance with medications, medical equipment, nutritional needs, transportation-related expenses and more. Most of their services are provided at no cost to those they serve.
