⚠️ COMMUNITY ALERT – FANNIN COUNTY
Mineral Bluff, Blue Ridge, Morganton, Mccaysville, Cherry Log⚠️

We are sharing this to make our community aware of a serious and concerning incident.

One of our animals, Big Jon (a Belgian draft mule), was found deceased after what appears to be a serious act of violence on the heavily traveled "Old Quarry Rd". There was a large amount of blood at the roadside, and security cameras captured a vehicle stopped in the exact location of the incident for a suspiciously long amount of time between 6am-6:30am on 4/8/26.
Based on the totality of the circumstances and all collected evidence, this does NOT appear to be a natural death. Authorities have been notified and are investigating into the vehicle seen and all surrounding circumstances.

🚨 This is extremely concerning for anyone with animals but especially in the closely surrounding area.

• Be alert and aware of unusual vehicles or activity
• Check on your animals frequently
• Report anything suspicious immediately

If you were traveling on or near Old Quarry Rd and have:
• Dashcam footage
• Ring/security footage
• Saw a vehicle stopped or acting suspiciously

PLEASE reach out to us or contact the Fannin County Sheriff's Office directly.

••We’re Hiring!••

We are looking to add a few more staff members to our team as we are going into our busy season.
Our team members must be able to handle & ride horses, have reliable transportation & childcare and be able to handle whatever is thrown at you, horses and people alike .
Our schedule changes on a daily basis, but there is plenty of work & money to be made if you’re hardworking.

What we do is very much "feast or famine", meaning, it is a rollercoaster regarding the schedule. Summer is consistently busy but fall always has a lull. Please be aware of this prior to applying.
We are open Monday-Saturday.
