🎪The greatest show, takes great people! Our veterinarians couldn't do what they do without great support staff. This week we are celebrating all our support staff during National Veterinary Technician Week. Some days it's a circus around here, if you have a kind word or memory you'd like to share, we'd love to read them in the comments!

PVVC is partnering with A Safe Place, Inc., a rescue and trap-neuter-return (TNR) organization dedicated to providing community and under-socialized cats with access to veterinary care.

TNR involves humanely trapping cats, spaying or neutering them, then returning them to their home environment. Benefits of TNR include population control, an opportunity to provide animals with vaccinations, and reduction in nuisance behaviors such as fighting and spraying.

A Safe Place also provides a limited number of monthly sponsorships for low cost cat spays and neuters. All are welcome to apply, but preference is given to low income caregivers.

Interested in getting involved?
- Volunteers are needed to help trap cats and provide transport to vet appointments.
- Fosters are welcomed to provide temporary homes for socialized cats.
- Donations (monetary, food, etc.) are appreciated.
- Please visit their website, asafeplacetnr.com, or page to get in touch with them.

A Safe Place Inc is an animal welfare organization in Marshall County, KS. specializing in feline welfare, particularly TNR (Trap, neuter, return).

Meet Gracie the Goose!

When we say “All creatures great and small” we mean it!

Gracie presented non-weight bearing lameness on her right leg. We took x-rays and Dr. Sam diagnosed her with an infected hock joint. Gracie was treated with antibiotics and pain medication and has made a full recovery. She’s back to running around with her favorite gander at home.
